    Purchasing in Canada?

Correct. I'm not far from you in K/W area. A year ago I purchased 3 cameras from Andy on a Friday, and they showed up the following Tuesday. Email him direct.

Black Friday 2019 is around the corner!

Add to your cart, then when you go to the checkout (before submitting the order) it shows the discount. I just tried with a IPC-T5442TM-AS and it applied a 7% discount. It's cheaper on the Aliexpress link. But, you should email Andy directly for an even better price.

Dealing with fog and motion events at night

    I was when I had Zone A & B. Can't remember if I do now. I still should.

Dealing with fog and motion events at night

Previously my driveway was zone A, and the sidewalk, boulevard and street were zone B. I had object crosses A-B, to trigger anything moving off of, or onto my driveway. I had a low movement setting (250 pixels), and low contrast setting (high sensivity - 20). As soon as I changed to edge vector...

Dealing with fog and motion events at night

I found the same. When I switched to edge vector, I had to stop using zones.

4MP Budget Cam Black Friday Giveaway

I'm in Canada, if you include me in the giveaway and I win, I'll gladly pay for the shipping. I'd install the cam in my back yard, as I currently don't have any coverage there.

    Spotto... or "ID this Camera"

0.05 Lux min illumination (color) means those cameras will suck at night. I'd avoid them and look elsewhere.

Video storage seems short for a 6tb purple

Repost a screenshot of your clips & archiving tab. Make sure you still have db and alerts on C.

Video storage seems short for a 6tb purple

Yup, what SouthernYankee said. If you don't have an optical drive (DVD/BluRay) your 6TB might be D instead of E. An empty 6TB should have 5587GB usable space, so you could set the new size to 5307 (leaving 5% free). Uncheck 'limit clip age' on alerts as well.

    Help with processor recommendations

    No. 20cams x 8mp x 15 FPS = 2400MP/s 22cams x 4mp x 15 FPS = 1320MP/s Total 3,720 MP/s I don't know where you read in the cliff's notes that an i7-8700k can handle that. An i9 wouldn't handle that. How are you currently running those cams?

    Determine Focal Length

You have it zoomed out almost all the way, so it's set to around 2.7 or 2.8mm. Any low MP camera (2MP) at that zoom/lens is useless except for an overall view, or very close ID. You either need to zoom in, or go with higher MP. You need to test the location with a temporary setup. If you buy a...

    Help with processor recommendations

You need to lower your bitrate, not FPS, to keep under the 80 Mbps of the NVR. What do you have the bitrate set to for each camera?

    Is all QuickSync created equal?

Even when Quick Sync is used, the CPU is still used. That new one is still only a 1.5 GHZ quad core with 2.8 GHZ burst. Once you add more cams, you'll be sorry you spend money on it. Get a proper system. https://ipcamtalk.com/wiki/choosing-hardware-for-blue-iris/

    Is all QuickSync created equal?

That isn't what he's asking. Those are SoC motherboards, and appear to have quick sync. He's asking if it's the same quick sync, which it would be, and would work. If you already have one of those, use it. Don't spend money on another one. Those are low power fanless systems, not intended for...

Low power(T version) Intel Cpu will work?

Your i5-7500 is 65w MAX. It isn't consuming that much unless it's running 100%. The i5-6500T would end up running at a higher CPU % due to the much lower speed, and consume close to the 35w. You won't save anything noticeable.

REVIEW: Budget 4MP Turret Comparison - IPC-T2431T-AS vs Chinese HDW4433C-A

@EMPIRETECANDY is this the budget camera you were hinting at here: Review-OEM 4mp AI Cam IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlight+ I specifically asked if it would be a 1/1.8" sensor and you said yes. It would be nice if Dahua came out with a 4MP 1/1.8" camera, without the extras like AI.

    Blue iris constantly crashing

Correct. Assuming you have a hard drive dedicated to BI, right click on the drive and turn off indexing. On the popup after you hit ok, make sure you select the option with subfolders. The below are generic pictures off the net, not my setup:

    using cuda with mining card

It would likely work, but do you need it? What CPU do you currently have, and how many MP/s are you running?

Dell 7040 SFF vs Mini Tower for BI Server

The manuals are wrong. They'll both take the same ram capacity, 4 slots. The Mini Tower manual was probably written before a firmware update allowed 16gb sticks. Nobody is going to need 4x 16gb sticks in a BI server anyways.
