I just edited my message. There is external IR illuminator.

    A Healthy Competitor - G6 Pro Turret

Ok, just to compare G6Pro and S3. :) Both cameras are at their max zoom level, located very close to each other. Using external IR illuminator, no IR from the cameras. Distance to the gate is ~100ft.

What's in the Pipeline for Dahua's 2026 Lineup?

Even that one is worse than the 54PRO, according to my tests. Daytime image/videos are awesome, but daytime movement detection is slightly worse than the 54PRO and S3. And nighttime image/video quality and movement detection are really bad compared to the 54PRO and S3.

What's in the Pipeline for Dahua's 2026 Lineup?

I was responding to Arjun, who mentioned Blue Iris AI. But yeah, now I'm getting your joke, not sure if Arjun got it though :)

What's in the Pipeline for Dahua's 2026 Lineup?

Well, I really like AI in S3 cameras, especially in the "long distance" mode, it's picking up deers and other wildlife from far away. I'm testing right now 54PRO and Ubiquiti G6 Pro, but so far S3 looks like the best one. And G6 Pro with its 1/1.2 sensor looks really pathetic at night. Here...

Hi from new member ‍♂️. Preparing complex private 30.000sqm infrastructure for 2026.

What's your threat profile in Sicily? Do you need good night IR images? I have similar rural property in Canada, it's 20 acres (8ha) and frankly I don't care about security too much, it's mainly about making sure I can detect deers inside fenced area and watching wildlife in general :) So for me...

    B54PRO-Z4E first impression

Ok, just ordered 4 S3s. I was waiting on the fence to replace my old non-S3 5442s :) . Also thinking about buying Ubiquiti G6 Pro Turret just to compare to S3. I'm almost sure it's not going to work for my use-case but who knows...

    B54PRO-Z4E first impression

Then, it would be better to wait for the "final" version of the firmware, instead of trashing clearly unfinished product and making Andy's business suffer even more in the current political and economical situation. I'm all for more testing but, in my opinion, the reports should not have too...

    B54PRO-Z4E first impression

It seems you’ve already made up your mind about 54PRO and consider it inherently flawed. In that case, what would be the purpose of testing it again?

    Tail Scale VPN

Also, Tailscale is using Wireguard as its VPN "engine", and Wireguard is using UDP as its transport protocol. That makes port forwarding pretty safe, because you cannot discover the port by traditional probing. Wireguard will only respond to the connections(UDP packets) that use known secrets...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

So, does 54PRO ZE have any advantages comparing to 5442-S3 at this moment, even when it's using very latest firmware?

Hmph... never knew. Sharing IP camera between 2 NVR's. How about that?

Port forwarding? I don't think that would be possible in case if you use real VPN.

Is it possible to move protected alerts to anoher BI instance?

Aha, thank you jaydeel! Now I understand better how it all works. Thank you for the script, I'm going to try it soon.

Is it possible to move protected alerts to anoher BI instance?

It looks like alerts JPG files are stored inside clips.dat file in my BI setup. I also cannot find any individual alerts DAT files, so I assume they are stored as part of clips.dat file as well.

Is it possible to move protected alerts to anoher BI instance?

I'm planning to move my BI instance to another box. I have some protected alerts on my current BI setup that I would like to keep for historical reasons. Is there any way to do that?

IP Cam <-> Web server direct connection and integration

You need to configure different subnets to allow Wireguard to route network traffic to every location. The subnets going to be isolated anyway. Your IP allocation example is correct.
  19. M

IP Cam <-> Web server direct connection and integration

That should work, just make sure you are using different subnets in every location and cameras are using static ips. WireGuard is really nice software and easy to use, especially if you are not afraid to use CLI and edit config files manually :)

    Model fine tuning

Right, but it's not clear to how to add your own images to the model, it looks like the only option is to use existent Open Images Dataset.

    Model fine tuning

Is it possible to fine tune a custom model by adding some number of my own images? Somewhat similar to LLM fine-tuning? And slightly related to that, imagine if BI could help us to produce new set of training images, defining a bounding box and allowing us to label it :)

    BI Dream Machine

Well, I'm tracking deer intrusions into 20 acres partially forested property with pretty complex topography. I cannot cover it densely enough to use low resolution motion detection. So, I want to have relatively few hires wide angle cameras able to spot a deer from far away. And, tbh, I’m not...

    BI Dream Machine

After watching my son assembling his new gaming rig, I'm thinking about building something custom for BI. Assuming the budget is not a big problem, what would be the best hardware for BI? I think I know what would be a good GPU for CPAI, but what about BI itself? The goal is to handle as many...

CodeProject.AI: CUDA vs Apple Silicon M2

I'm running BI on pretty small windows machine, that doesn't have room for a good videocard. I want to start playing with CodeProject.AI and thinking about buying new Windows box with CUDA capable card or low end Mac mini M2 to run CP.AI on it with BI connecting to it remotely. What would be...

IPC-Color4K-T180 IVS setup is broken on MacOS in Chrome/FF/Safari

I tried to configure IVS on IPC-Color4K-T180 (V3.120.0000000.2.R, Build Date: 2022-10-21) using MacOS Chrome/FF/Safari and it's not working, failing after line drawing. I tested it on Windows and everything is working fine there, so it's definitely something MacOS specific :( I suspect it...
