    I also had issues with the first version of 4.0 release and was able to downgrade to the V3.216.0000006.0, Build Date: 2019-02-23. I downgraded using the Setup - System - Upgrade and select 3.216 file and it worked no problem. My NVR is branded Dahua DHI-NVR5416-4KS2
