Blue iris all of a sudden using 100% CPU

Love to hear more about what you find. I'm finding the same issue, although in my case switching from CPAI to the BI AI is what is causing this for me. I select my GPU but GPU is usually under 10% while CPU is spiking upto 100%. I'm gonna try turning off Period AI Scan.

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Hard to say for sure but CPU isn't spiking over 50% anymore and GPU usage is higher. I'll keep an eye on it and report back. That being said, I started this thread because the ALPR kept hallucinating multiple random plates. Switching AI completely and the builtin AI is zeroing in on the...

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Dome detection of nothing say 0ms and others range upto 150ms when it finds stuff. My GPU usage never gets over 10% but task manager does say that blueiris is using the GPU.

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Yeah, I have my GPU selected, should it show two? I only have one. Does it matter which one I select?

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Are you guys using any additional models? If so, which ones? I have all of Mikes -v5 models as well as faces and delivery but even turning them all off and just using Primary Object Detection is just killing my CPU. Which base model are you using? Edit: the -v5 models were getting detected with...

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Yeah that's what I thought, I had done that and my cousin usage was still spiking to max, I wish it had an internal resource monitor to tell which camera or model was doing all the hogging.

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Hey Mike! You mean like through windows services or just change the radio button from using CPAI to the internal blue iris AI? I did as Flintstone recommended and yeah CPAI was still running detections in the background after I changed to the internal one.

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Is there a shutdown switch im missing dor CPAI or do i have to go into the dashboard and stop the modules?

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

Not to hijack my own thread or anything, but the AI in Blue Iris uses way too much CPU. With CPAI running detection my CPU averages around 7-17% with spikes into the 30% range. When I try to use the built-in AI it is steady around 30-40% and frequently maxes out the CPU at 100%. I have tried...

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

That's just for alert confirmation isn't it? I'm more concerned that it's hallucinating three different plate numbers. It used to identify the plate no problem, now it's putting bounding boxes where there is no plate, I had tried putting DayPlate and NightPlate in the confirm box but they...

    BI6 ALPR CPAI Not Working?

I had this working before BI6, with all the changes a lot of stuff got reset and I had to set it up again. I have my camera doing object detection, when it gets triggered it triggers a cloned copy of the camera dedicated to ALPR. I cannot get the AI to give me good results anymore. Even my AI...

Have to use new builtin AI?

Came here just for this topic, sort of. I am using a local CPAI instance using Mike's Yolo11 models as always, but I see Blue Iris, CPAI and the ALPRYOLO11NET all using my GPU. Does BI use the GPU for motion detection? It's also using a ton of CPU cycles now as well. I figured if I told BI to...

New CodeProject.AI Object Detection (YOLO11 .NET) Module

Ah that's a whole other thing about Periodic AI Inspection ignore stationary objects etc. etc. I don't know if setting that up will lower your detection time though, I was (falsely) operating under the assumption it was only supposed to be finding one thing and the multiple items were it...

New CodeProject.AI Object Detection (YOLO11 .NET) Module

Oh I see the confusion. And maybe I'm only seeing one truck per detection because I only have one truck in the image. Where you are getting [Found, Truck, Truck, Truck] are there three trucks in the image? I get one line per picture sent like you are describing 10 lines in total, but in each...

New CodeProject.AI Object Detection (YOLO11 .NET) Module

I send 5 pre-images and 5 post-images 10 total and only get one detection per line [Found, truck] I don't think it has to do with the number of images it gets sent.

New CodeProject.AI Object Detection (YOLO11 .NET) Module

I might be wrong here but I think the multiple items per line means it's running through multiple models? I had that too until I wiped out everything and specified just one model.

New CodeProject.AI License Plate Recognition (YOLO11) Module

If you read back through this thread (pretty sure it's this one) you'll see the answers to your questions. I had the same. Turn off the custom object models and all that to confirm stuff.

To be fair I've also been getting server errors when trying to reply so it looks like replies and posts aren't posting. That being said, go delete the other posts.

Woah hang on here, where did CPAI 2.9.6 come from? Mine says it's at 2.9.5 and up-to-date. Should I be updating it somewhere else?

Reolink Camera Find/Inspect no longer working for one camera.

And today ONVIF all came back, reports properly, triggers work. Once it works don't muck with it or out might lose it.

Reolink Camera Find/Inspect no longer working for one camera.

Fair enough. I'll read through those links you provided and see if I can find a duhua that fits into my system. IR is onboard, that particular camera is the RLC1212A, 12MP with 1/2.49" sensor and a pair of IR floodlights, about $120CAD. Reading through your article it seems like each camera...

Reolink Camera Find/Inspect no longer working for one camera.

Alright, hopefully I'm not DOXing myself here or publishing this for all the internet. As you can see, the IR floodlights on the cameras illuminate the area like crazy. The house is about 200ft away from these cameras, I keep the motion activation zones right up close to the cameras because...

Reolink Camera Find/Inspect no longer working for one camera.

Yeah no problem, I'm on my phone right now but when I get back to my computer I'll grab a couple alert clips. Caveat here, I was hoping to switch back to onboard AI because the PTZ cameras autotrack objects and keep them centered. So while I see my cameras following things, for some reason the...

Reolink Camera Find/Inspect no longer working for one camera.

Haha, this definitely will help future camera selections. I have usage cases from fixed mount inside buildings where I need 90 - 180 degree viewsof things no more than 30 feet away. Some of my locations need outdoor 270 degree viewing from 50 to 60 feet away. And a few locations require being...

Reolink Camera Find/Inspect no longer working for one camera.

I was enticed by being able to buy all nine of my 4k PTZ cameras for the price of one Ubiquiti 4k PTZ. Is there a good cheap brand? I realize that's an oxymoron, but is Dahua a better choice or something similar?

Reolink Camera Find/Inspect no longer working for one camera.

So I thought I would try camera AI again to reduce my BI CPU load. One of my Reolink cameras now throws Error for ONVIF events. The Find/Inspect comes back with this: It no longer pulls the proper streams to populate the main/sub streams. The camera itself still does all it's things, if I leave...

New CodeProject.AI Object Detection (YOLO11 .NET) Module

I set my model to extra large since I have 12gb of video memory. It runs at around 6-7gb.

Is there a away to make Code Project more accurate?

It appears abandoned by the guy that made it, but Mike Lud has found a way to bootstrap his new modules into it. I would say it's only a matter of time before someone either takes over CPAI or replaces it with something compatible with Mike's new modules/models.

New CodeProject.AI License Plate Recognition (YOLO11) Module

It's a bit finicky when first starting up, check the server log for errors during startup they are pretty good at identifying any issues. If there are no errors then just give it 5-10 minutes to start detecting things. This will be easier if you can post a snapshot of your log so we can get an...
