    Check if the tftp updater is still probed at power-on. Check if telnet is still accessible. Best arrangement is power with 12v and both PC and camera on their own switch ports.

    You can't convert the camera to EN and get it to accept the EN firmware without changing the language byte in the flash partition and adjusting the checksum bytes. It does look like ChatGPT has misled you again. Check the step by step instructions in the first post.

    No, the next step was to follow the instructions to edit the flash partition to change the region from CN to EN. After that you can update with the international firmware.     How does that do recording? It seems just to be a set of USB controlled relays. Unless I've misunderstood the spec. Many cameras, and more NVRs, have the ability to trigger recordings from wired alarm inputs.
