    Web Interface Failure and Inaccessible

Were they sold as 'used, working' or as 'spares and repairs' or equivalent? What browser are you using to access the web GUI? Is this a PoE NVR, or are the cameras connected to the LAN and powered separately from the NVR? That does suggest the problem isn't due to the cameras themselves, but...

Alternative way of recovering HikVision NVR password

Haha! You beat me to it. 4,5,6 are indicators that those cameras have been hacked using inbound internet access.

    Cascade connection step by step.

I for one don't understand the question.

Is someone trying to break into my home network?

That would allow inbound to the LAN via the router - but wouldn't allow login to the router itself, which is what is being queried. But absolutely - UPnP should not be enabled.

Is someone trying to break into my home network?

Check if the router web GUI has remote management enabled. If so - the router web interface will be presenting itself to the entire internet. Not good! They are from various global locations.

Cameras Connected to poe switch, set as dhcp on

In the Hikvision NVR HDMI/VGA interface, there is an SADP-like list of found devices on the LAN in the camera configuration menu which can be used to add a device to an unused channel, given the correct admin password. But that's only for found devices that have not been connected to the NVR...

Cameras Connected to poe switch, set as dhcp on

@TonyR suggestion is sensible and helpful. I suspect you've misunderstood - it's actually a lot less work, less chance of errors too. Assuming 8 cameras - one configuration change to the new modem base IP address versus changing IP address on the PC used to effect the changes, change IP address...

    DS-2CD2342WD-I Password reset

That should work, it's a version which has the backdoor security vulnerability which allows a configuration file to be extracted without authentication. What did the browser show after the URL was applied in the address bar? Did you set the PC IP address to be in the same range as that of the...

    DS-2CD2342WD-I Password reset

That file - presumably from using the 'forgot password' button in SADP - is a reset request file that has to have a response from a Hikvision support system, it doesn't hold a password. If any of the cameras have firmware between 5.3.0 and 5.4.4 then you may be able to use this method to...

Yes, of course, i should be able to help.

Reconfiguring a Hikvision Doorbell camera to a new router.

Dumb question, for which apologies : Did you consider configuring the new router base IP address and DHCP scope and WiFi settings to match those of the previous router, such that no changes to any of the connected devices would be needed?

    DS-2CD1343G2-LIU Missing Advanced Network settings

Which should work OK with MS Edge, though this depends on the version of firmware. For web GUI missing features, it's usually the case that native Internet Explorer, or even IE Mode in Edge, works best. What browsers did you test? The Webcomponents plugin? I'm pretty sure that only integrates...

Hikvision password reset tool returns "device refused to process"

The camera configuration file decrypted OK, see the direct message for the camera admin password that with luck is the same as the NVR admin password.

Hikvision ERI-K216-P16 – Bound to Previous User, TFTP Update Fails

That's not a process failure - it's actually a comment by the tftp updater tool that it had received a probe for ArecontVision devices. This is something the NVR does on startup, and it uses a similar UDP probe to what the NVR uses looking for the tftp updater on bootup. There are a couple of...

Hikvision password reset tool returns "device refused to process"

Sadly, no. That looks like the 'password reset request file' produced by SADP using the 'forgot password' link to send to Hikvision. What version of firmware does SADP show for the camera? If between 5.3.0 and 5.4.4 then this URL may pull a configuration file without requiring credentials.
  23. alastairstevenson

Hikvision password reset tool returns "device refused to process"

That's for the NVR? If so, it's likely that the NVR admin password will have been used to 'activate' the camera, on that version of firmware. If the camera is connecting OK, and the firmware is newer than 5.3.0 and older than 5.4.4 then the Hikvision backdoor vulnerability should be available to...

    T5442T-ZE replacement cable

Are you sure that's a Hikvision camera? From the label? Or maybe just from SADP? I believe that apparent model number comes from a Xiongmai 'Hikserver' function in the non-Hikvision camera running Xiongmai firmware. If it really is Hikvision - try this : Set your PC IP address to be in the same...

Hikvision NVR changes camera IP address when rebooted

Do you mean it changes the camera IP address to be in the address range used by the NVR PoE ports, something like 192.168.254.x ? Is the associated NVR channel set to Manual mode instead of the default Plug&Play? That's usually needed when a camera is on the LAN as opposed to connected to an NVR...

Hikvision Emergency Firmware Recovery TFTP (2024)

Dumb question - Hikvision devices probe for the tftp updater tool during the power-on process, well before they have booted up far enough for SADP to find them. Have you power-cycled the DVR while the tftp updater is running?
