How can I access my Hikvision NVR's HDD?

Worth trying also before any physical removal of the HDD are the 'Rebuild' tabs in the NVR web GUI under 'Storage | Storage management | HDD Management tab' These can sometime bring all those missing recordings back after a maintenance activity has impacted them.

Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2-IU post_app_hook No Driver Found

It might be interesting to see if those repeating IFE errors stop if the network cable is removed.

Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2-IU post_app_hook No Driver Found

Presumably in an inside test environment - leave a connection to the serial console running, and inspect any entries preceding a random reboot, there might be a reason shown. I'm guessing these were bought as 'spares and repairs' on eBay. There have been a few on sale with the same faults described.

Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2-IU post_app_hook No Driver Found

I think, but I'm not certain, that the bootloader manages the ethernet connection itself, as opposed to the kernel after its loaded and running. A bit of a long shot, but a suggestion to try : Keep Control-U pressed till it autorepeats, power on the camera, so that the bootloader is...

Unplugged NVR and now no cameras!!!! please help

Are there any devices that were assigned with a fixed IP address that can be found with a discovery tool (such as SADP) to reveal their address and therefore what the gateway address (ie previous modem address) should be set to on the new modem?

Looking for Hikvision DS-2CD3232-I5 firmware V5.0.2

I didn't find a copy after a quick look. If you are feeling adventurous you could do a permanent conversion to English and fully update through the firmware versions. https://www.ipcamtalk.com/threads/r0-ds-2cd2x32-brickfixv2-brick-recovery-and-full-upgrade-tool-enhanced.24343/

Power Long Range (coax) Adapters from NVR?

The Hikvision NVR simply follows the standards-based PoE handshake methods. It won't supply power unless the PD (powered device) responds as per the standard. With the caveat that I'm guessing a bit here ... But the adaptor spec says 'passive PoE. If that means that it simply must receive a...

Looking For a New Basic 4CH NVR to Upgrade My Discontinued HikVision DS-7604NI-E1/4P

Maybe worth a look to see if used versions of either of those models, or 8ch versions, are available on your eBay as is the case here in the UK, at quite low prices. What's the nature of the problems you are seeing? The 4-ch E-series is very much a low-end model, maybe you are pushing it to...

How you can do this depends on the (unspecified) camera model and the (unspecified) firmware that is installed on it.

    DDNS HIKVISION CAMERA

Agreed - there is a problem in understanding. What DDNS settings on the camera do you change when : Currently, when my public IP changes (for example, after restarting the router), I have to manually update the DDNS settings on the camera to reflect the new IP.

    DDNS HIKVISION CAMERA

If you read and understand the good primer from @jmhmcse above you should realise that you've misunderstood how DDNS operates. Only the ISP can define your public IP address, picked from their assigned pool. The purpose of a DDNS service is to associate the ISP-assigned IP address with your...

    DDNS HIKVISION CAMERA

I don't really understand the problem or question. The DDNS settings on the camera are fixed by your choice of DDNS service provider and your chosen domain name. And the chosen domain name is how you wish to address your camera instead of using the ISP-assigned public IP address. What specific...
