    Hikvision PTZ + Motion Detection 2.0: DS-7616NXI-I2/S vs DS-7716NXI-I4/S?

Need Help Resetting Hikvision Camera Password

What's the firmware version the camera is using? If between 5.3.0 and 5.4.0 it should be possible to extract the password using a security vulnerability. Hikvision's SADP tool will find the cameras and show the firmware version - unless the cameras are connected to NVR PoE ports. In which case...

    Help resetting Hikvision cameras.

What does SADP show for the firmware version of the camera with the unknown password? Some versions have security vulnerabilities that could be used for resetting. A (very) long shot - as I can't find the data sheet for the camera as it's purely for the Chinese market - Is there a small hatch...

Lorex Cloud LHV221600/LHV2016 Boot Loop Help!

What specific change if any caused the boot loop to start? How have you selected the firmware to apply, and how have you confirmed it's a correct match for the DVR?

Lorex Cloud LHV221600/LHV2016 Boot Loop Help!

I didn't see any clues as to why when the uImage is booted it resets straight back to the bootloader without any messages as to why. I don't really follow the memory mapping, though this would have to be closely linked to the specific hardware with matching firmware.

What's the serial console showing before the device restarts? There may be an error indication that provides a clue. Firmware for IPC‑Color4K‑T180 now I have a non working camera; help!

With the caveat that I don't know if ONVIF is supported / enabled on that camera model - As a long shot, maybe see if ONVIF Device Manager (ODM) can find the camera, and show the web GUI / ports etc. With the PC IP address set to the 192.168.1.x subnet.

Firmware for IPC‑Color4K‑T180 now I have a non working camera; help!

Did you temporarily change the PC IP address to something in the 192.168.1.x range from the presumed 192.168.0.x range it was on for the original camera IP address range prior to the factory reset? For the camera web GUI access, to change the camera IP back to what it used to be..

    Hikvision NVR issues

The TX and Rx signals and are transmitted and received by ethernet transformers connected to twisted pairs of wires. The transformer windings should read as under one ohm, maybe 0.3 to 0.6 ohms. This resistance is what you should see between pins 1,2 and 3,6 and 4,5 and 7,8 for a 1Gb interface...

    IP Camera Installation Question

And both routers would need to support bridge mode multi-access capabilities to connect them together over their wireless signals to work as a range extender. A standard router without that wireless bridge mode capability will not connect to another access point over wireless.

    IP Camera Installation Question

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Generally a spare router can simply be used as a wireless access point by disabling it's DHCP function, giving it a fixed LAN IP address, and wiring one of it's ethernet ports to the main LAN, and then wireless devices can connect to it and get network service. However...

    looking for hikvison firmware

If you have a working camera, another thing maybe worth trying is hooking up a serial TTL terminal to the console port, interrupt the bootloader, and try the 'upc' command. Admittedly older firmware that what you are looking for, but on a couple of cameras I bought recently, upc left the console...

    IP Camera Installation Question

Suggestion - Check what throughput a router as a WiFi range extender, if it has that functionality (unlikely), would provide by placing the router where you want the camera, connecting a laptop to it, and checking what throughput is achieved to see if it's good enough for the steady stream of a...

Can i directly connect a non-onvif IPC to a dahua NVR and use RTSP.

An easy way to check if ONVIF is supported (doesn't always appear in the camera configuration menus) is to use ONVIF Device Manager and see if it finds it. https://sourceforge.net/projects/onvifdm/ ODM will automatically find ONVIF devices on the same LAN segment as the PC, and also show the...

A few weeks back we had a spate of spam posts from moderately active forum members who'd registered a few years back. Looking for some way to upgrade my DS-7716NI-I4 beyond of V4.61.030 build 240123
