    Hikvision's new 4MP 2-series

I think the flashing issues are not from milks cameras.. Milks firmware is 5.3.1 - it looks like the flashing is all 5.3.3 related or chinese cameras

    Hikvision's new 4MP 2-series

5.3.1 can be downloaded from hikvision usa - http://overseas.hikvision.com/us/download_89_p2.html - however, if yours is a chiense unit, 5.3.1 may cause problems. I cant get 5.3.3 for mine yet since hikvision eu makes you register before downloading and there is an error in the registration...

I can confirm windows 10 and internet explorer work.. I found it works better if you add the camera ip specifically to the compatibility view settings.

they are hikvision with a custom firmware which is hikvision firmware with different colors and logo - they can be tftp'd with actual hikvision usa software - whether or not that counts as not hikvision, you be the judge.

    TFTP not progress

next step would be to make sure the camera power cycles.. ir should kick on at boot and make sure network cables and power is good.. beyond that.. it may be time for another tftp flash. I am assuming firmware was correct for camera?

Here's my plan for camera system - comments/opinions/suggestions welcome

If you have not purchased your cameras, I would suggest you take a look at fourm user milkisbad. Great prices and great service with warranty. I have an 8 port router with an 8 port POE injector added in - total cost was around $45 - but I have 60w of 802.3af POE which can power up to 8 of...
