so before i get too far along adding the cameras. I added three so far. BlueIris is reporting 6% CPU while task manager is reporting 27% CPU attributed to Blue Iris. So a fesh windows install and fresh blue iris install didnt solve the problem - so its either a setting on my cameras or... -

dang, this is never simple and why I never do it. on the reinstall windows cant find my hard drive. I might format the drive and try again but I really dont like that idea. ill keep digging see if I can find a solution. -

so I enabled half the cameras one by one, all seemed pretty normal incremental. Each cam added a few percentages to CPU. Let those 8 cameras level out for a few minutes and watched. The 8 cams jumped to 35%. Disabled the 180 cam and things immediatly went back down to 15% and seems pretty... -

disabled all the cameras, cpu went to zero. i will add them back one by one now. removing them seemed pretty even, no big jumps. when i had half the cameras disabled CPU was at 50%....each camera seemed to lower it an even amount. hopefully when adding back one will standout. -

turned windows firewall off, changed the database, new and alerts back to the c drive in defualt folders BI originally set up, turned the physical firewall rules off. no change - still pegging CPU. -

that is what I was thinking too. I dont have antivirus installed on the computer running blue iris. It is behind a physical firewall on its own vlan with the cameras, that has rules set up so maybe I will look at those. But the only rule i have set up is no internet so I dont think its doing... -

so setting the pre record trigger time on and to five seconds, and setting the end trigger unless re-triggered within to 20 seconds seems to get the best results so far, but it not returning consistent results. The longest full motion track I got this morning was 40 seconds, then the camera... -

its triggering late for sure, to varying degrees. sometimes just a little late, sometimes like 5-7 seconds late. but it is finishing the track and the lengths dont seem constrained. I got 38s, 37s, 31s - so progress I would say! -

I did try deleting/re-adding the camera. I am recording triggers only (my new hard drives have not come in yet) but I can switch it to continuous. The max trigger/alert is set to 60 seconds. I noticed the "end trigger unless re-triggered" setting while I was looking at the max... -

if I make the make time 9.0 seconds it goes back to only recording 10 second clips (it tracks me the whole time, just only records 10 seconds of it). turn the make time back to 2.0 it goes to recording entire track (but also all the false alarms) -

i put everything to 240 and no joy. Still ten second clips. The only thing that seems to get the clips running longer than 10 seconds is turning on the motion sensor in Blue Iris under trigger, but then I get 100s of false alarms. -

this is what my ivs rules look like on PTZ. snapshot is enabled but there are not settings. ill just go get an sd card if you think it will help. i didnt realize its a micro sd card. ive got a ton of regular sd cards but no micro so I will go get one.
