Yes, not directly though. The camera does detect motion on it's own though. The camera should be able to record to a network share on it's own. -

This unit is still in production. I put it in the truck and drove around with it. It has a patrol speed display that uses the radar to verify "cruiser" speed. It matched the GPS & speedometer display.- Go3Team

The radar isn't. It's something I've cobbled together. I put it together. I got a retired police radar setup off ebay for ~$100 last year. It has a serial connection on the back that I've just recently figured out.- Go3Team

I'm using a couple of old Vivotek cameras. One has a 25mm lens at about 150-200 feet. The other is planted in front of the radar to get the speeds. On both the cameras, the IR filter thingy is broken so they are useless at night. I'm almost ready to order the IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 as I get all... -

I have 3 of them. I haven't had any issue yet. I've changed the lenses in 2 of them: 12mm lens: Stock 3.6mm lens: At night using 8mm lens: IMO, its not really good in the dark, or I may have to play with some settings. -

Is it literally breaking the window out? I was trying to figure out how to remove it so I can adjust the lens as it is mounted to get a good focus. As it is, I'm going up and down the ladder opening it up and making fine adjustments to it, to try and get it to look right. I did get 2 lenses... -

It's an 8mm lens that's in the "Zoom" photo. The other pointed at the road is a 6mm. I tried the 16mm, but could not get the camera pointed where I wanted. I'm going to try another mounting position, but I need a taller ladder to get to it. -

Did I get some crappy lenses, or am I missing something when focusing? The zoomed in camera gets blurry the farther away you go. The other may need more adjusting.
