    I understood that the Smart Search is just for standard motion detection. Within the defined area that you create. So just shows any motion detection within the frame you have created.

    Normal if you give DMSS permissions for internal storage and then save videos or pictures within the application (DMSS). It will store the saved videos or pictures within your standard gallery/media app.

    Could their be a possibility that the administration rights for the live view be messed up. Or you've logged in under a basic guest account that has live view disabled.

    WelshPaul. Another Paul from Sussex UK. I think if you take on other forum members sound advise ie: constant bitrate/correct codec/shutter/gain adjustments aswell as a possible separate IR illuminator. You should be good to utilise those cameras your so disappointed with.

    Unfortunately Smart PSS is not universal for different brands of NVRs. It's designed for Dahua or it's sub brands.

    Sounds like your unbranded NVR is not compatible with Smart PSS. What CMS software are you using?

    Could be a recording schedule issue, where you have IVS setup for a certain time and SMD for a certain time. Your screenshot of the 12th only shows PM SMD alarms.

    Agree with bigredfish. I have the 7 series but an I2. But have fitted a few I3 versions. Fairly sure you cannot have AI IVS and SMD running at the same time. Indeed motion/SMD need to be enabled together and obviously the motion recording schedule setup correctly.

    Not totally sure but I think the database missing menu, is for an NVR with Face "Recognition".

    Locate a valid spare IP address of the virtual NVR assignment as well as gateway etc. Use this as a static IP of camera. Should work hopefully.

    Sorry. Is this advice for others to adhere to with your encoding settings. Or are you after guidance on correct optimal settings?

    I really cannot believe that the camera only has H265. I would highly recommend the basics and taking the camera back to factory defaults. H264 as a minimum encode, should be available! Unless you have some fake weird camera and it's 4 MP upscale only works on H265 with awful bitrate levels...
