    2022 Latest New SD8C440FD-HNF 4MP 40X Startlight Polarlight PTZ

That becomes obvious with a little research. Might as well not look at the US website in the first place.

    2022 Latest New SD8C440FD-HNF 4MP 40X Startlight Polarlight PTZ

There are a lot of PTZs like this one that isn’t available via Dahua US or Hikvision US. But we do know the price through Andy.

EmpireTech 7 Years Anniversay Promotion Plan

Anyway to trade up from the value of the camera? For example, if I’m interested in a SD5A425XA-HNR, but won a SD49425XB-HNR, could I pay the difference?

Why did Geico shut down all of their offices in California, all on the same day? What do they know that we don't know, yet?

“ According to the Chronicle, insurance trade publications attributed Geico’s decision to pull out of California to an inability, under Sacramento’s regulation, to increase insurance rates to keep up with inflation among other market pressures.” Which is from the article. Unless I’m missing...

    Dahua Visit

I wonder who makes the 4/3" sensor. I think the previous one used the Sony IMX294, which was released in 2017. As far as I know, the do not make a newer one.

Looking for a replacement poe switch?

If you're handy with configuring a managed switch, I recommend the following. They will do POE+, and likely be cheaper than the others listed in this thread. Of course my source of these switches is eBay, so they are used, but so far have been reliable. There is also 48 port versions if you...

Dahua "Polar Light" PTZ new generation sensors?

I know I'm bumping your old thread, but your title is what I would have called this post and is somewhat related to your question. I wonder about the 4k model that is coming out later this year being "full color" unlike the dual sensor one you've linked. If full color is not a requirement, then...

Dahua PTZ Auto tracking 3.0 Release

Looking forward to the review. I'll be interested in its performance in low light and see if AT 3.0 will be better in that regard.

    2022 Latest New SD8C440FD-HNF 4MP 40X Startlight Polarlight PTZ

Based on a sampling of a few models, and looking strictly on spec sheets, it looks like the Color and B/W sensitivity are all in line with each other (exception 4/3" B/W is superior). For some reason the Hikvision models use a lot more power. Perhaps they are using older sensors and using more...

    2022 Latest New SD8C440FD-HNF 4MP 40X Startlight Polarlight PTZ

The problem with ds-2sf8c442mxs-dlw is it's $3k USD state side. Also, it doesn't support POE because of it's 70w requirement. As for DS-2DF8836IX-AEL(W), it's sensitivity (spec sheet) isn't as good as the Dahua. It's also $3k for whatever reason from a cursory search.

    Auto tracking Performance - SD4 vs SD5 vs SD8

I have spotter cams that do signal the PTZ to go to another preset. It works very nicely. I'll have to play around with the gamma / contrast. I've tweaked the shutter speed settings to allow capture of fast moving plates. Currently the target ratio is set at the default 25. I might lower it to...

    Auto tracking Performance - SD4 vs SD5 vs SD8

Does anyone have experience with the auto tracking between something like, sd49225xa-hnr vs sd5a425xa-hnr vs something in the SD8 family? I have a sd49225xa-hnr, and it seems to lose auto tracking if the object moves too fast, moves behind an object, or if the camera thinks the object has stayed...

    2022 Latest New SD8C440FD-HNF 4MP 40X Startlight Polarlight PTZ

    2022 Latest New SD8C440FD-HNF 4MP 40X Startlight Polarlight PTZ

I would be interested the spec sheet for the 4k variant with the 1/1.2" sensor when it's available to compare with this 4MP model. Interested if the night time specs will line up.

Dahua SD49225XA-HNR Auto Tracking Enabled Firmware.

Living on the edge. I did flash the version @Wiz_ard provided. Note, if you factory reset, it doesn't go back to 192.168.1.108, but 192.168.1.126, as discovered by the Dahua config tool. Track time does keep in firefox. IVS function are available as well. Will need to test tomorrow.
