    I have 2 and both do this. It's a minor flaw only on the left edge so I decided not to return it. Return shipping was expensive. I opted for a small $ refund in lieu of returning so I'm still happy with the product.

    Would direct connection to hdmi on nvr have more load to the processor compare to say using a separate PC to load smartpss and view the stream? Would the latter have the decoding load passed onto the smartpss PC instead?

    I can only see the motion marked as orange lines on the timeline scrolling only. It works most the time when I have a good wifi signal to my phone. Would be nice if it can show a list of time events like I can when logging into the camera through the IP on a browser.

    ^^I did this same dielectric grease into the connection and then wrap the dahua waterproof connectors with Silicone Rubber Self Fusing Tape.

    Yes different encryption methods will be different speed depending on your processing power of the cpu. I once setup openvpn on a cheap $40CAD router and the speeds were about 5Mbps only. OpenVPN - estimate performance via OpenVPN

    If only they can make the app like Ring or Nest apps where can easily click on the motion time and it plays the video. Or clicking on the push alert notification and it opens the playback window showing the video of that motion.

    I'm still using the connectors that came with my crimper by Platinum Tools brand since it had a pack of 25 included. I just bend the lock tab back up now to get it to work. I don't think Platinum Tools and Platinum Connector is the same brand. Which one you have?

    ^^ This indeed was the problem with my connectors. The crimper squished the tab down too much and bending it back upwards works now to click into place. Low quality connectors that were included with the Platinum crimper.

    I had this problem a month ago when connecting my dahua cameras to the nvr. I think I either deleted the cameras in the NVR setup and manual add them one by one using the user/pwd or I did a hard reset then add them one by one.

    Without internet access the cams can't do push alerts to the IDMSS app correct? Does enabling push alerts first have it push to dahua servers in china then to the phone app?

    Interesting alarm audio with available custom audio files feature. Wondering is there a setting to set alarm to play only during customized hours like only after midnight? Or an event or IVS detection at a certain time that will trigger the alarm audio?
