    58 cam install finally done.

Uniview is a good sys. Everyone that does alm systems should at least help with the camera system. Don't underprice if you do quality work. Looks good.

    PTZ issue.......

Some poe++ switches give priority to the 1st few ports. So port 1 and 2 using most of your switch budget will take power away from ports 6-8... Not all are the same.

    PTZ issue.......

I try to keep a couple of high power poe injectors for cam's that need poe++ Some use the white blu/White brn prs for power to the camera. Can seem complicated but if tou have checked your cable, and seems you have, I might try a high power 60 watt poe injector. Mine also came with a 60 watt...

Be careful if you activate PTP on your NVR

I also have p2p activated on my dahua nvr. I need to work on a better firewall/DNS. Some rabit hole i went down about ptp server locations and crap just made me think about it. I rarely check my cam system thru a public network but like the ability to do so. I get no notifications except...

Be careful if you activate PTP on your NVR

It's very troublesome with cloud security. I'm no specialist, and there's a great deal of info in the WIKI on securing your camera system. Even if it's not 100% correct it may be just enough to get skipped over if or when a ddos attack happens using your cameras. It may even be worse with...

EmpireTech latest New firmware, Device Guide video, Manual WEB5.0

I plan to purchase a few more cameras from Andy and feel his firmware is as good or superior in some ways to Dahua....but the best advise that is commonly repeated....if it's working as intended, or as you like, there is very little reason to do firmware updates. It also seems to me that...

May sound crazy, anyone seen XVR that will support 64 quality cameras? Bad idea?

And the alm guy is also friends with a large cam co that wouldn't touch it for less than 55-60 thousand. Thats about their average, 1000 per cam with NVR and monitor included plus dahua vms on a few computers. HDMI cables and exrention for remote mouse. And he'd use 8mp 4k cams with 1/2.8...

Yes. I'm gonna replace the outside cameras. Connect tham all to a NVR via network cable. They are all on coax (8 outside and 8 inside) and at least 1 power supply is bad. The biggist issue this place has is 4 different brand DVR/XVR/NVR syatems. Their IT guy has a mini server...(i'm unfamiluar...

Anybody familiar with GW Security systems?

I ran accross a store with some GW Security cameras and wanted to see if they were closer to Dahua or Hikvision... so here is what google had to say... GW Security cameras are commonly manufactured by Hanbang (HGBK) .... GW Security products are often NDAA compliant, meaning they don't use...

Gonna look at a business in a day or two but from what i was told on the phone 60 cameras are there now with a combination of coax and network. I'm not really interested (now that I'm retired) but my 1st thought was to pull all network cables. May could use the old coax as pull string or not...

I'll be gld one day you can purchase a 2000.00 cam that will work on any system. I like super great cameras. I remember a poster that showed a night vision camera. It was super great. Also cost around 3 thousand dollars. It's why some of us want laeger sensors as apposed to more AI SOC...

money not a problem - panoramic cameras

When i got an 8 port nvr i thought that woud do fine. Wish I'd gotten a 16 port. And PTZ are great...until nightfall. They sometimes lose track usually due to pixil to sensor size unless you have a very well lit parking lot. Once my stock quadruples i may get a 16 port nvr. :)

So a co i contratct with...although I'm retired called and asked if i had any idea why some camwears may drop out...or no longer show up. Best I could answer is if you have an NVR tat says it will support 128 cameras, and your are using AI via rhe NVR you may have drop outs. You can reaserch...
