    Google home and hikvision

Nope. Hikvision cameras don't have that ability. With that being said.... EZViz which is Hikvision's cheaper, consumer line I believe has that ability. Maybe there is a way to get it to work?

    Honeywell Performance series Nvr reset.

Is this what you mean for doing a hard reset? Just put a paper clip on these two holes? This is the only two holes I see on his motherboard. What is the procedure to do it?

    Cctv video

As far as I know it is all or nothing. Cannot delete just a certain clip. Can only reformat (initialize) HDD which deletes everything.

Can Hikvision OEM devices be force-updated vanilla firmware using TFTP?

It works if loading one OEM's firmware on a different OEM's device.... Loading Hikvision firmware on an OEM device was a no go.

Can Hikvision OEM devices be force-updated vanilla firmware using TFTP?

I have tried OEM firmware from a different OEM brand and it works. The one I used was a WH model (Brovision) NVR and updated it to the LTS firmware and it took the firmware with no issues just by going into the local monitor and plugging in the flash drive with the firmware. Just be VERY sure...

Hikvision OEM NVR - Flashing firmware experiment

Wonder if I would be able to put the official Hikvision firmware on it. Looking at the specs it would be equivalent to a DS-7604NI-E1. Anybody have experience doing this?

Hikvision OEM NVR - Flashing firmware experiment

I have a Hikvision OEM NVR. WH-N5204-P4 running firmware 3.3.1 Trying to Google it shows nothing about the unit or any firmwares available. I am guessing it is a Brovision unit according to a few hits on the search engine but the Brovision website doesn't work anymore. Well... Found out the...

Upgraded firmware to 5.5.0 - ONVIF stopped working

Firmware 5.5.0 and below have ONVIF enabled by default. 5.5.0 and over will have the ONVIF section. If it is not working then you may try defaulting the camera and trying again. I have never had an issue with ONVIF after upgrading from older firmware.

Alternative way of recovering HikVision NVR password

Most of the dome cameras have a reset button inside. Just take off the dome and it should be on the mainboard of the camera. It is just a simple momentary switch. Once you find it then do the 30-30-30 method. First 30 sec just be pushing down the button Second 30 sec - Unplug the power while...

    Error changing camera resolution

The recorder (NVR) has a limited amount of power for decoding the video to display on the local monitor. So if you try to view too many high resolution streams at the same time then it will give you the no resources error for any camera over what the unit can decode. Do keep in mind that it is...

    Hikvision firmware advise please

I was talking about Hikvision products in general. You cannot take a firmware for one region and install it on a device for another region. It will give you an error when you try to do it.

Been tasked to upgrade cameras and system.

I would try to reuse the cabling if possible. Sure would beat having to run new cables. Put connectors on the Cat5e cable ends and get a cable tester and make sure the signal is good. If it is showing good then just get an NVR and some IP cameras. NVR will have the built in POE and will...

    Hikvision firmware advise please

Hikvision's products are region locked. You could try to update the firmware but it would probably give you an error when you upload it to the camera. It could brick the camera is the wrong firmware gets uploaded to the wrong camera. I would double and triple check before doing any firmware...
