Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

You should be able to add it in using ONVIF. So first activate the camera and give it a password, IP address. Then go into your Dahua NVR, select an available port and go into the settings for that port. Make sure to take it off of "plug and play" and put it on "manual". Then put in the IP...

    HIKVISION DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL

That camera is compatible with that NVR. Note that the aspect ratio for the camera is very different than standard so the decoding may be an issue depending on what other cameras you have on the system. Is the camera not able to "plug and play" or are you just not able to see liveview/playback?

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

Annke had this special for Halloween. This was the best price I have seen so far. Do note that these have the plastic housings and not the metal ones that Hikvision and other OEM's carry.

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

This is the Hikvision equivlent for the 6MP PanoVu. Here is the official junction box for that camera. From my testing, it can use the same junction box as the DS-2CD2347GX cameras which is your colorvu turret.

Dahua XVR died, what to replace it with?

The DVR takes a 12V 2amp power supply which is for powering up the recorder itself and the hard drive inside. The cameras should have their own 12v power supply. Since your DVR is not having any video out I would first measure the voltage of the power supply going to the DVR. It should be a...

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

Seems like you have a standard I-series NVR and not the Acusense which would be the NXI. I-series does not have any AI processing in it. It will have VCA which is the advanced detections like line crossing or intrusion. If you were wanting the human/vehicle detection or any of the more...

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

Hikvision's cameras are getting more confusing lately. What use to be cameras labeled as Acusense before meaning they have the AI algorithms to differentiate between human/vehicles. If you look at the new cameras that have come out.... What use to be a basic camera now comes with "Motion...

Dahua XVR died, what to replace it with?

Yes Dahua still make XVR for analog cameras. The basic ones will do up to 4MP lite. The higher end ones will support up to 8MP.

Hikvision PTZ - Cam will not track

From my testing the new PTZ's have issues due to the new chipset inside. They have tried to modify the firmware to try to get it working but so far it doesn't seem to work. Keep looking on Hikvision's website for new firmwares in case they release an update that may finally get it working.

    Enabling H.264+ makes live-view impossible on iVMS-4200

If the issue is primarily causing issues on your computer..... Are you running the latest software? On the top right corner of IVMS4200 there is a resources meter. Are any of those maxing out when you try to pull a stream? Also have you tried the hardware acceleration setting on the software...

    Enabling H.264+ makes live-view impossible on iVMS-4200

What is the firmware on your E-series NVR? From what I remember 3.4.92 is the one I would recommend using. The latest is 3.4.96 which is suppose to be better and newer but there were a few quirks that made it less desirable. I don't recall which it was that made me recommended installing...

Connect Hik Vision Doorbell with Dahua NVR

Use SADP to find out what is the IP address and the server port. Then in the Dahua NVR, find an empty channel and click edit. Take it off of "plug and play" and change to manual. Set protocol to ONVIF. Then put in the IP address, server port, username and password. Using this it will most...

    DS-7800NI-I2/P (& DS-7800NXI-I2/P) Series NVR - incoming bandwidth specs?

Make sure the camera is set to H265+ as it will compress the video more so your 10mbps goes farther. Also check the max bitrate to make sure it is set to the amount wanted. One other setting I would check would be the FPS. Lowering that from the default full frame will help. Variable bitrate...

    NVR with SMD or without

I believe the DVR (analog) will have the SMD on the recorder as it does the processing from the recorder itself. NVR's (IP) will have processing done from the camera side and then the metadata is sent to the recorder itself for processing. There are some NVRs that have the ability to process...

    Hikvision, non-AcuSense, NI-I2 and NI-I4 NVRs EOL?

I don't show those models being EOL on the Hikvision USA website. With that being said, manufacturers are using different chipsets on a lot of those models due to the chip shortage. They will have the same features but end up being a little slower. If you click into the page for the model...

Wifi cameras with solar panels for large area

Depending on the budget, I have seen lots of people using Ubiquiti products with cameras. Either using an AP to boost the wifi signal for more of a mesh system or using their "AirMax" line for wirelessly beaming the video back to the recorder. With the "AirMax" antennas then can use any off...

    Hikvision 7716Nxi or 7616nxi

Check the playback and see if it is doing that there also. It could be a number of issues. -Decoding abilities of the unit. Set the video feeds in your liveview to substream and see if they are still doing that. -Changing the bitrate type on the 3rd party cameras to CBR. -Lower the FPS to...

    WBOX 4Channel NVR

From what I know, WBox is the ADI "OEM" brand made by Hikvision. If the secure codes don't work on it then try using SADP to export a file out to send in to someone that can convert it for you. They will send you the file back which you use to import back to the device to reset.

    Hikvision NVR Notification settings

Yes it can be done. Log into the recorder either locally or over the web. You will need to go to the detection page (motion, line crossing, intrusion, etc). First will show the camera screen shot. You will notice that you also have two other tabs on that page. One is arming schedule. This...

    Hikvision NVR not booting up

Few things to check... Disconnect the cameras from the built in POE. Does it boot up properly? Open the case and unplug the hard drive power cable. What we are doing here is troubleshooting to see if it is a power issue if the power supply to the unit is weak. Try both the VGA and HDMI...

    Hikvision 7716Nxi or 7616nxi

@Parley is correct. "77" series vs "76" difference is only the hard drive spots. 4 vs 2. Do remember that with the NXI's (acusense) that they only have support for 4 dumb cameras to be used with the NVR's AI. Any camera after the 4 will require a camera with built in AI in order to have that...

    Hikvision dome camera lens cleaning?

Looks like a new dome will need to be ordered for those. Yes you can remove the coating but then you may be getting a lot of glare. Remember to get the foam rings that goes in between the dome and the lens. Those usually are worn out also. You can put some rain-x or ceramic coating on the...

    Hikvision dome camera lens cleaning?

Hikvision will have the domes available but whether they will sell them to you is the issue. Hikvision will only sell items to distributors/integrators/installers. You can call their tech support line and have them transfer you to presales and see if they would sell you the dome. More likely...

    Hikvision dome camera lens cleaning?

I believe that Hikvision does have replacement domes. Honestly there is really no reason to have a dome camera unless you really need the impact resistance. Turret cameras are better in all aspects. Domes from my experience has a few inherent flaws. Besides the dome itself aging and causing...

Hikvision Dome Cameras - do I need to port forward even when using HikConnect?

When using Hik-Connect, it does not require port forwarding. You can do port forwarding which will give you a faster connection and you would have access to the configuration settings which aren't available without port forwarding done.

    Hikvision dome camera lens cleaning?

Distilled water and a microfiber cloth will be what I would use. These usually have an antiglare coating on it that Windex and anything with ammonia may strip.

    Acusense 2.0 and ColorVu 2.0

G2 is better using the default settings? From what I remember the G1 by default is using shutter speed of 1/30 with a gain of 100%. I wonder if it is the hardware side that is improved or just optimization of the software (firmware). The gain seems to do a lot as far as brightness on the G1...

    Acusense 2.0 and ColorVu 2.0

I just ordered the mini bullet version. Seems from the specs that it is newer hardware. Reason I say this is that older hardware have a max of 128 for SD card. The bullet has max of 256 gigs for the SD card that I have been seeing on the newer Hikvision camera specs. Also I chose the bullet...

    Difficult lighting- gentleman’s club

From my testing the Hikvision based units get better image compared to the Dahua ones so with the LED's turned off on the cameras then I would suggest the Hikvision units. The image will be a lot brighter. I have played with the settings such as shutter speed on both and that is what I feel if...
