Will these work for BI and x cams

Well, I'm going to have to stop. lol Just won a Dell Opltiplex 7060 on govdeals. So it's an 8th gen instead of the 6/7th gen. Ive been using one of the 7050s as my main, finally got it going last week. has 16gb ram, i5 etc. So now the plan is, I'll use the 7060 as my main computer 7050 #1...

Auto Tracking PTZ for Lorex NVR

Hey Yall, I posted awhile back over in installs that I convinced a buddy to allow me to prewire. Luckily he did and we wired for 16 IP Cameras. 16! lol He doesn't live close, so I didn't go the BI and Empire route like I would have preferred. He bought a Lorex kit. I'm just happy he did ANYTHING...

    Firefighters Versus A Locked Gate

    1. Tonyr, I love traffic systems so thats cool that you did that forever. Side Note, I just finished installing a GPS/Radio Based Traffic Pre-emptive system in our fire trucks, and the city is installing the street signal side obviously but it has made an incredible difference in the area of...

    Firefighters Versus A Locked Gate

Interesting stuff, surely that is not a private road that they went through. Pretty serious pre planning when they could just use google maps for measuring distances like that. ( Thats we use, it's easier and less labor. ) We carry 1,000 ft of supply hose. But, so do our other units so if...

^^ Thats Pretty crazy. I'm sure it's fine, But I would trust some heavy duty metal straps hanging a ptz off a high rise like that. lol Awesome view though, Id use that ptz every day with that view.

Yeah I thought op was in the US so that's why I mentioned that. It's national standard to have the air gap cold or hot climate here. I'm beating a dead horse though. Look forward to seeing what the op does!!

Ours is a little different in the usa here. Between the brick and the wood sheathing should be a one inch air gap. Not filled to allow moisture to weep and dry.

^^ Ooo, Smart Idea I hadn't even considered. See what wiring the house already has and see if you can take advantage of that. If there is a room near by that has wire ran already

It's going to be difficult to run anything in the gap. It should have ties to the structure and mortar all over the place. Is the conduit down the edge and into the garage not wanted? Seems like the most sensible.

Yeah I agree. For the porch side, I would run it down the siding to brick transition just like the other side. Getting it around the corner behind the brick will be difficult but worth a try. If that doesn't work then the conduit maybe the last resort option.

Alright so I made a visit and he's about to order cams. Here's how some of the eaves look. They look really nice! I also included a shot of his master ceiling because I love it. Lol

Obviously it's difficult making assumptions from two photos. I installed professionally for a few years. Here's what I would do. If you dont want to cut drywall, drill through framing and repair then you really only have one choice. Run conduit from the attic, BEHIND the brick ledge at the...

Will these work for BI and x cams

So here's a little update. The 7050s have an 7th gen I5 7500 in them with re installed 8gb 2400mhz ram with 4 slots for a maximum of 64gb ram. 16x4. My plan is to have 16 minimum, but how much of a role does ram play into the BI setup? I have no problem maxing out the 64gb if I need to...

I'm not sure if he's going to want a subwoofer out there or not. I'm going to run some chase conduit from the tv to the attic so anything that needs to be ran can be in the future. Ie. However I'm going to send the audio from the tv, to the AVR in the closet which then runs the speakers. I see...

    Black IP options

He sent me these. lol I mean, ip 5mp am crest for 60 a pop. IP5M-B1186EB-28MM I'll convince him otherwise. If I can get that empire tech above in a fixed lens or something similar for around 100 I think he'll bite.

    Black IP options

I'll take a look at the IPC-T5442T-ZEB, Painting isn't an option to maintain warranty which is why I suggested vinyl wrap. It's removable. The PTZ we're planning on can be white because it will mount to the brick on a corner mount below the eave. ( If he goes that route ) I'll check it out...

    Black IP options

Hello... In the install sub I shared the project I'm helping a buddy with. His trim and eaves are going to be dark and wants black cameras. I'm also really not wanting to have to mess with the system once it's installed so I've been eying a kit pretty hard. Honestly one of the amcrest or...

Is there a bullet camera with 25x-30x zoom?

The price of box cameras with interchangeable lenses costs beyond what a PTZ would cost. ( Edit: There are some ip box cameras, and you can get a lens. I'd have to see if 105mm lens is enough or not) May have to get creative with camouflaging a ptz. It's been a few yes but we use to have a...

Did this guy use wrong model or settings

So I watched this review where a guy put up a bunch of cameras. Of course the empire tech did a good job at night, but just wondering if it's the model he used or what that didn't put it higher. Not throwing any shade. Just a discussion.

UPDATE: Today I ran the Audio. 5 runs for the back porch to have overhead surround sound. I'm not sure about a sub. It's an outdoor porch so I don't know where a sub would go. WHO CAN ID THIS POLE-MOUNTED EQUIPMENT ?

MAJOR issues were reported when our state TN changed to new plates. These were among the problem. 5 months later and it seems to have been fixed by having to adjust all camera settings. For anyone interested just search Google "Cameras not reading TN license plates"

Hey, we work together at the fire station so we try to take care of each other. To answer your question, I wish the box was larger. I'm worried I won't be able to fit much into the 27" box. I was hoping to get a POE switch for the cameras in there, and a non managed switch for the TV Data...
