Yeah we really need this and if possible vs 4kt. IR is ok but B&W really has a negative effect on identification. Colour makes such a difference if it's possible to run it at high shutters with only a little additional light. ie 300-400 lumens. -

With that Alekk you'll have no depth of field. That's been something some don't like with the 4kt and the cause is most probably the aperture size. The larger the sensor, the shallower the dof. Add in a wide aperture and you get a very shallow area thats in focus. Larger sensors are great but... -

There is more than 1 reason why you can stutter as well. It can be the video bit rate if too high for the device it's being written to. Thanks for the settings. They explain a lot about the picture. Although you seem to be getting away with a good picture at night, generally the recommendation is not to exceed 50 on gain (gain increases noise). This may explain the presence of aretfacts in the night time picture which make it... -

What are the gain and shutter set at to achieve that brightness? It looks to me as though gain maybe high and shutter quite slow as there's a bit of a blur to the picture on movement and the image has visible artefacts especially under movement (not saying they're bad but they're there). -

Can you only draw a single straight line? In Dahua you can draw zig zags (you have to do it continuously though) . For most in Dahua 1 to 2 rules is all thats needed because you can draw a lot of lines with zig zagging in 1 go. -

Are you using H265? That might be the source of the tearing. I've seen it happen with h265 before. -

It's hard to tell. I understand it's a dedicated scanning device. I wasn't aware it cna be done on a mobile phone, although I'm not saying it can't. US PD letting you down. Over here, this is practically impossible (cloned plates another matter) but in the UK you wouldn't get far without getting pulled for no plate, partially because the PD are very vigillent and partially because there are hundreds of cameras covering the roads. Over here... -

Image flickering when WDR is turned on
Gain is now too high at 80. You should never exceed 50. You will get lots of noise and probably ghosting. If you're needing WDR + Gain at 80 to get an acceptable picture then your camera is in all probability a model that's on a small sensor and poor at night vision. If this is in B&W and not... -

I used the plugin as I couldn't see the cameras in the web browser. Had no issues although I uninstalled the installer plugin immediately after installation. As said in one of the earlier threads, if you're worried submit the installer to one of the reputable AV companies for analysis. Residential cameras for exterior- bullet vs turret
The wiring tails for these cameras are very large and I struggled even to get them into a junction box. I'd hate to think of trying to do it without. I'd suggest mounting it onto a junction box for that reason. It doesn't add much to the camera visibly but will make your life a lot easier. Also...- CCTVCam
