I knew that. I was only relaying it as a data point to underscore that it was truly only when switching to D2W that was causing the error. I suppose I could leave the higher resolution and use h.265, and keep just those cameras excluded from D2W, but then the view won't be smooth. I'm good...

I swear, you must not sleep! It works fine on my PC at the higher resolutions with D2W on Brave/Chrome/Edge. So I'm sure it's a limitation of the Fire tablets. I have tried the javascript player does work, but at a much reduced frame rate - maybe 5 FPS. Again, I assume that's because of...

I am having issues with PIPELINE_ERROR_DECODE: video decoder reinitialization failed: MEDIA_ERR_DECODE on several cameras when using D2W. I'm running 225 on 5.6.53, but problem has occurred since 221. This is occurring on multiple Fire 10 tablets (latest version) as well as older 8th gens...

    Amazon vs Jeep

Our UPS driver will shoot the shit for 30 min if you let him. He usually delivers around 4-5pm. If it's a sub for the day, we usually get delivery by lunchtime. Our driver is a people person, well liked, and not rushed at all. I think it really depends on the area you live in. For me, it's...

Clips no longer recognized as being part of BI

It's stuff like this that makes me happy to pay the annual renewal at the premium level.

Clips no longer recognized as being part of BI

Look like he may have found/fixed it already with 3.3. "Please test with 5.6.3.3, as this may be fixed already today. Take care Ken " trying it now. ETA: Confirmed, it fixed the issue. All clips/alerts visible on latest.

Clips no longer recognized as being part of BI

Interesting to see others with similar gremlins. My brother is running on latest w/o issues so whatever it is, it must be intermittent. Ken just asked for teamviewer access to poke around. I'll post back here once we know more.

Clips no longer recognized as being part of BI

Ok, downgrading resolved the issue. Interestingly, the disk was showing 0% used with the latest version, and 90% when I downgraded.

Clips no longer recognized as being part of BI

Having regularly deleted and recompiled the db, I'm familiar with the loss of alerts. but Clips should always remain, and even they don't show in the list on either the console or UI3. This is different. Recycling bin is empty. The 9.8TB of data is legit and all the .bvr files that SHOULD...

Clips no longer recognized as being part of BI

I know, I know... being on the bleeding edge causes problems. Willing to take that risk in an attempt to help flush bugs... That said, with the latest update (5.6.3.2, UI 223 and 224) I can no longer see most of my clips/alerts. They are there, as I can see them if I open the .BVR file from...

After turning on "keep screen on while charging" under developer options, I can prevent the screen from turning off. However, it still goes into dim mode after the "display timeout" time has been exceeded (30 min). So, I gave in and installed wakey (similar to alive) - a program my brother...

Good idea. But if there is a way for the browser to keep it awake, I'd prefer that route. They've all been de-bloated and neutered/firewalled. I'd prefer to keep background things to a minimum. But, since you appear to be doing the same as me, do you have issues with your UI3 on the tablets...

No luck. It bombed out within 15 min.... Actually it didn't bomb out. The screen just shut off. Interestingly, the html5 keeps the screen on indefinitely, but the JS doesn't. Any way that can be changed on my end?

I will set all three up on JS and will post back. TY

I recently started using several tablets at entry/exit points in the house. A couple of HD fire tablets and a Samsung note 10. I'm using UI3 (223) on all of them, full screen. None seem to go more than about 24 hours before the page crashes (oh snap) and I have to reload - at which point...

Did you relaunch the browser after disabling HA? I think Brave either forces a restart or strongly recommends it. But the changes won't take effect until you do. If that's not the issue I'm curious what else it could be .

It's a client-side issue. In your browser, turn off hardware acceleration and you won't see another green screen.

I'm trying to walk him through it. It's latest version of Brave (as is mine) on the PC. Can't seem to find any PIP settings on the browser. Never mind... He was using FF instead of Brave on that screen. Switched to brave, option popped up. All set. TY.

Me too! Now that I've registered that vote, quick question about picture-in-picture (PIP) which I've only recently started using a lot. Wonderful feature. I bragged on it to my brother, who tried using it on his system, but the icon is not there. We've confirmed that the feature is...

    An LPR success story

What a great synopsis. That's exactly what I was thinking, but couldn't articulate it as well. So it comes down to employees standing up to the administrators to expose ineptitude or malfeasance. Where have we seen this in every other aspect of life lately... It takes courage for someone to...

    out-of-sync (OOS) audio...

Not quite sure when it started but my live, recorded, and exported clips all appear to have the video a second or more behind the audio. Occurs whether exported from BI console, or UI3. Happens with all cameras that have audio - either their own audio channel or when taken from another...

    An LPR success story

@wtimothyholman - I know there were some tongue and cheek references to the piss-poor plate designs in TN, but as a fellow middle-stater, I think you have a great opportunity to draw some real attention to the matter. I would think that through the interview process, you made some connections...

No worries. Thanks for the suggestions. Its not a deal breaker. When I watch live and use the D2W settings, its great. It's just playback that sucks... but if it's ever critical, I can export it for a smoot video.
  29. E

    Blue Iris UI3

Slow and bursty. The overlay shows the recorded frame rate 15FPS (and it does record at that rate since exports are smooth). The FPS on UI3 shows it drops down as low as 2, but typically stays at about half the recorded frame rate. Everything is BVR direct-to-disc: It's an i7-6xxx Dell...

Poor IR contrast in new Tennessee license plates

I wonder about this too. When I go back to review a "beautiful, full-sky lightning bolt", I find that the camera doesn't capture it - or if it does, it's half a frame, over exposed, and not really usable. Perhaps the pulsing/flashing of the LED could be timed with the shutter speed to where...
