Best monitoring app for (hikvision) ip cameras

Sweet! That was it! (port 8000). Regarding VPN, don't I need to install a client on all these machines? We have pretty strict IP policies at work (gov't stuff), not sure I'd ever get that to fly.

Where do downloaded files from 2032F SD card get stored?

My DS-2CD2032F-I on the playback tab I can click on the download button and search and find files, check the little box next to them then download them to my PC. Trouble is I can't find them on the PC! According to the local configuration tab they should be in: C:\Users\xxxxxx\Web\RecordFiles...

My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best picture?

Re: My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best pict Thanks! I did review recordings and the daytime photos do look good but I wonder if it is adjusting gain to compensate for brightness issues instead of changing shutter speed. The setting for shutter speed is...

My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best picture?

Re: My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best pict Hmm, still having problems. VLC, IP Cam Viewer and Ivms-4500 all complain about not being able to get to the camera though I've routed external port 8002 to the internal port 554 of my Hikvision camera.

Hikvision Launches Direct End User Sales? (IPVM Announcement)

I've heard that Hik is staffing up to start selling in the US. Maybe that's why they're shutting down all the Ali sellers a month or so ago.

Anyone know why I can't see my Hik camera from the WAN? The first two cameras I can see from the WAN but not the Hikvision camera. I downloaded iVMS-4500 yet when I point it to DDNS name port 8002 I get "Receiving data from the device timed out." With IPCamViewer on my iphone I get "could not...

Re: My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best pict Thanks for the input. What you wrote is greek to me other than I thought I might try and adjust image settings remotely. I'm running a simple version of ddr-wrt. I'll see if I can figure out how to route port...

Re: My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best pict Thanks for the photo. I guess given the distance (over 100') and only using the built in IR led's, I cannot complain. I took a snapshot from the web GUI but don't know how to retrieve it. I found out how to...

My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best picture?

Re: My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best pict Good point. Pretty decent though compared to my Costco 1080p Lorex HD-CVI which isn't saying much. Can't believe the Lorex claims 130'. Good news is it is helping the Lorex camera out.

My first Hikvision (2CD2032F) - is there a sticky for setting it up for best picture?

I am now the proud owner of a Hikvision camera. Bought a DS-2CD2032F-I from Aliexpress and got it installed today. Should have gotten the 6mm instead of 12mm but the image in the daytime is great, nightime - not so great. Very noisy and sparkly image. I played around with settings a lot and...

Hikvision 2032F On Camera SD Card Recording Setup Info?

For those using a 64GB Microsd card, regarding the 2 32GB partitions, does it work fine otherwise? Does it fill up both 32GB partitions or only one? My Hikvision cameras will be here soon and I'm looking to get some 64GB cards.

    RJ45 connectors lesson

Did look before I posted. Lots of hits, all say stranded is more flexible, more attenuation, nobody posting attenuation tables of each cable type. Just looking for the data and its not there.

    RJ45 connectors lesson

Yep, ran into this back in the when switching over from 10base-2 (coax) ethernet to 10base-t. Have my bag of stranded RJ45 plugs, solid, and even DEC RJ45 ends with the offset tang. I guess it's the nerd in me. CCA and stranded will never be the same thing in my head.

    RJ45 connectors lesson

Stranded and CCA don't go hand in hand. There is non-cca stranded out there. I've got pull boxes of both that were bought back when CCA didn't exist. I'm just looking for the info that stranded cannot be run as long as solid, like an attenuation table.

    FTP to Weatherunderground settings

I don't have your camera but in looking at your screenshots, the first one that says "queue an image each 60 seconds" appears to be the correct one. What problems are you having? Reason I ask is that the problem is probably WU. I have a cheap Ebay 720p camera with snapshot mode and I was...

Sensor size and why dont they use bigger ones.

FWIW, coming from a place that manufactures things on wafers, the smaller the die size the more you can fit on a wafer, the lower the per part price. In the camera sensor world, smaller pixels - smaller die size. The others above have already pointed out that the optics get cheaper as the...
