    Ok. Problem solved. Found new NVR FW and installed. New camera showed up under new devices but I had to select initialize device on right side of screen. then it asked me to confirm “same user name and password as NVR”

    Trouble finding FW update for dahua.

    I’m having trouble installing some new cameras. My nvr has original FW from 2015 which could be the problem. I’ve been on dahuawiki and dahua website. My nvr is not coming up in the search. No idea how to find firmware. Any help is appreciated.

    I couldn’t find FW on my specific unit but I was thinking.......My NVR is H264. Ne camera is 265, 264 etc. Maybe 265 by default and somehow I need to change it but not the slightest clue on how. Maybe I will have to order new nvr. Lol

    So when I powered down nvr and rebooted, it named new camera 10.1.1.69 which is the same address as the camera it replaced. Still no go.

    Jedi. A power cycle of nvr brought camera ip in line with other cameras. See pic. May be a password thing as lazy suggested but what? Lol

    Too lazy, the username and password was already there. Admin and a 5 digit pass code. Tried nvr password which is 6 digits. No luck. The hard reset button must be inside the “ball”. I have 4 of these to do. Prefer not to open them up

    Unplugged one of my older dahua 3mp and installed one of these just to see what it was like before bed. Camera shows up in devices. stands out like a sore thumb because IP, mac address is wildly different from my others. But has a red x over icon and of course, picture is not showing...

    Ok, trying to do this myself. played all last night with no success. Do I physically unplug all poe lines into nvr, then plug in one, re sign ip address etc. As of now, I have ip addresses like 10.0.0.60, 61, 62 etc. I try to change them and nothing happens.

    Thanks buddy. Completely understand there is a little servo. Just dont know how to access it. I've never logged into camera settings directly. I assume only windows and not mac...... Do I get ip address from my NVR?

    I have a dahua NVR-4816 POE and want to add/upgrade a few cameras. most Cameras today Have H265 but my NVR is H264. Guess I dont really understand where the compression takes place, in the camera or in the NVR. Can I only use H264 cameras?
