Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

I couldn't find this mentioned elsewhere, but can something be done or modified somehow to ignore spaces that the program either adds or omits in the identified plate number? ABC 1234 and ABC1234 are treated as two different entities as the plates may be read on any given day. Just asking. Thanks

Both C and D drives internal. All cores unparked.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Well, then I'm definitely doing something very wrong (with my Intel Core i9-12900HK 14 Cores/20 Threads,up to 5.0GHz 32GB RAM 1TB PCIe4.0 SSD computer). Back to the drawing board tomorrow...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

So I cleaned up an old rig, forced it to take a fresh install of Windows 11, and with great difficulty loaded CodeProject AI. It seems that an updated .NET version is required to be installed before CodeProject AI would function without generating errors all over the place on my Windows Version...

I'll experiment with that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

As I continue to tweak these great tools, I've run into another issue. I'll call it the sun/shade misread issue. At a certain time of the day (on sunny days), the sun will cast a shadow over half the license plate. In my setup it would appear that CodeProject AI stumbles with this scenario. I...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Yes, I have a couple of older computers gathering dust. i7 something or others. I'll give it a go and report back. Thanks

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Just venting, still frustrated. I can catch hundreds of plates all day long but two cars together usually yields no recognition for both. I've posted my "Found DayPlate" and "Found Plate: XXXXXX" ms times earlier in this post. Do you think my CPU and lack of GPU is solely responsible for this...

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

Sounds like good wisdom. Pehaps my solution lies with something like Tailscale if I can get a handle on that.

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

Thanks for help. That worked. I was thinking/hoping that the PWA (which I'm obviously not familiar with) could grant access to ALPR Database while I'm not at home. Is that possible?

Need some help once again please. This time I'm trying to install the mobile app on my android phone using the Chrome browser. I've reviewed the documentation and Youtube video but I can't get past the first step- Navigate to the Web App in Safari (Or Chrome for Android devices) Log in with your...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

By the way, I have at least 9 cameras running with BI, however only the one is being used with CPAI and ALPR Database. Too taxing for my NUC maybe? I hope not.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

If this is what you mean I've had them on but will keep an even closer eye on the triggering process. And just now three cars went by. One right behind the other and the third one, 3 or 4 seconds behind the first two. When it was all said and done, only the first plate made it through to the...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

I changed and simplified the zones as suggested. This one was A>B,C>D with E as the whole image selected . The new setup has only 2 zones A>B, moved to more of the center with E as the whole image selected also It kind of seems improved but I'm still getting some blatant misses Two cars...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

So, after having changed pre-trigger images to 2, lone car plate capture is better I think, however I did get another partial capture of a car and this error sequence came up in CPAI if that sheds some light for someone.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

I'll investigate further. It's just puzzling that so many cars are read perfectly and then randomly this occurs. My pre-trigger images was set to 4. I'll see what happens when I drop it down to 2. Thanks!

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Beyond trying to perfect logging multiple plates in quick succession, I now realize I'm missing lone cars in perfect lighting and focus about 1 in 3 or 4 cars. Here's the car pic and process logs from CPAI. The only standout thing I see is the "Timeout connecting to the server" line. Has anyone...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Will do. Cars pass by about 1 every 2-5 minutes on average during the busy time. Obviously I get the random 6 in 1 minute every now and then. Thanks

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Jinxed myself. This pass you would have thought would have been an easy grab for the two but it only logged the first vehicle. Oh well.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Yesterday I changed the timeout to 30 for starters, and for the first time I believe, BI and or CPAI was able to ID two plates during the pass (even though one was not a real plate) and ALPR Database was able to break it out as two unique plate numbers. First time! You may have steered me on to...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

These are my settings. I appreciate the explanation you provided with your settings, however with that said, do my setting look like I'm asking for my hardware to do too much? Also the Rockchip board looks affordable enough but I have no idea how to interface it with my Win 11 NUC. Any guidance...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

"Images are queued on BI until timeout, and if you hit timeout, it stops processing--but unless your queue is very deep, it might not be a problem." Could you explain how I may determine if my queue is deep enough and if it's possible to change its size. "BI and CPAI compete for cycles and can...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

So based on all the tweaks I've made with everyone's great suggestions, would it be fair to say my little NUC computer (which obviously can't accommodate a GPU) is simply not capable of processing 2 and 3 car's plates in quick succession? Here's one of my latest plate grabs with the processing...
