    You would think so. I am using A standard. If I swap the recorder to a 7616 or 7608NI-I2 it works with the existing cabling. Cameras are powered with PoE from the back of the recorder. I have also tried using a PoE switch with the same issues. It has me perplexed.

    Yup cool I can do the LAN routing no problem. Can even ping 192.168.254.1 however it doesn't pass traffic. Guess there is no way to fix that without having telnet and enabling IP-Forward on the box. Thanks for your input!!

    Agreed. I personnaly use Blue Iris but I wouldnt use it for clients and its just not too user friendly and I'd get a million phone calls. However the mobile app and alerting system is easy to use.
