    Hikvision TFTP help

I suspect your cameras are on the E4 platform not the R6. Try this firmware. Read the attached release notes before you try.

Arming Schedule Reverting back to default

Few thoughts: Update the firmware. Most recent camera firmware V5.5.82_Build190909 can be found here. Most recent NVR firmware V3.4.98 build171121 can be found here. Make sure both the NVR and cameras are on the correct time setting, configure NTP ideally. As @fullboogie said, best schedule...

    HikVision Mobile App problems

Interested to hear others input on this - my take: Hikvision uses (to large degree) AWS to facilitate their Hikconnect service. Noted there are a few exceptions like the Russian servers. Hikvision's response to your query seemed somewhat curt but I'm not sure they would have provided the...

    Advise setting up multiple TV's

Might be possible, if the devices are within spec. Even with fluency or basic selected it's probably worth going for a beefier spec'd device. Having iVMS-4500 displaying selected cam IPs is possible - but may become a user nightmare if the authentication session doesn't persist or a power saving...

    Advise setting up multiple TV's

As vandyman mentioned, you could use something similar to this: Android TV Box. There is a possibility that any Android box with less than 2GB RAM will struggle displaying multiple streams fluidly. Are all of the 32 cameras same model/same brand? Reason I ask, (and going to probably over...

    Why hack a camera

"Genuine question ... why do people bother trying to hack into CCTV?" There are certainly those who will do it for kicks, but as others have pointed out access to the cameras may not be the goal, but part of the attack vector to access your network. Poorly secured WiFi routers and WiFi cameras...

    Help troubleshoot night image quality

Few things you can try if your camera supports these settings (firmware update may enable them): Under Configuration>Image>Display Settings, experiment with the Backlight settings. Please excuse the poor attempt at a recreation of your issue. I just pointed my test camera at the ceiling...

    Big difference?

Yes, that's the one. Perhaps the vendor's markup, does seem a bit steep. Hikvision cameras 'should' come with a 3 year warranty. Check with your vendor if he handles warranty issues and time frame. Depending on the vendors source, repairs/warranty claims can be lengthy. Hopefully someone from...

Moisture in Hikvision EXIR camera DS-2CD2385FWD-I

The images you posted look similar to the DS-2CD2385FWD-I but have some distinct differences. I suspect they might not be genuine. The DS-2CD2385FWD-I are IP67 rated which means they can take a direct water spray/survive submerging in shallow water for a brief period. Regarding the bags you...

    Big difference?

Not a direct answer to your question but IMO, the DS-2CD2045FWD-I would be the better choice. More features, well priced and has Dark Fighter tech built in.

Access to the screenshot without login and password?

Ah, good to know. In my testing with Hikvision (recent firmware) no anonymous/accounts with blank passwords are allowed. "<subStatusCode>riskPassword</subStatusCode>" is returned when trying to workaround it. The multiple browser aspect is another hurdle. Overly complicated suggestion - You...

Access to the screenshot without login and password?

I managed to automate the login with a tweak to Firefox. Try this in Firefox: 1. Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter. 2. Click "I accept the risk!" warning. 2. Right-click in the empty space and select New>Integer. 3. Enter the preference name as...

No more users can be logged in?

RTSP sessions are limited. Perhaps terminating the session after running the script would help. You could trigger a HTTP request (with curl) upon completion of your script similar to: PUT http://admin:[email protected]/ISAPI/Security/sessionLogout?username=userName and see if that...

Access to the screenshot without login and password?

I'm not aware of a way to bypass the login, but you could base64 encode the user:password and amend it to the end of the link: http://IP:PORT/ISAPI/streaming/channels/101/picture?auth=YWRtaW46MTIzNDU= The "?auth=YWRtaW46MTIzNDU=" is the encoded string for user:admin with password:12345 This...

curl http code to change scene

From my poking around - For WDR to accept the request to 'On', it requires the Exposure Time to first be set to 1/25 or above. Same with turning WDR off, it needs the Exposure Time to be first be set to anything lower than 1/25 before it accepts the request. Please post your bat file (amended to...
