    SADP unusable

I believe SADP comes with it's own implementation of WinPcap. Perhaps a clash with other low-level network access/packet capture software that uses the NPF driver. Try uninstall SADP and npcap. Reboot the PC and then re-install SADP. You shouldn't need to run SADP as administrator however...

Streaming video from Door Station of Hikvision (DS-KV8102-IP)

I haven't worked with the Door station series so I can't say for sure. However, if you are able to access the webGUI, there may be a 'work around' to enable CGI. Are you able to log into the DS-KV8102-IP webGUI?

    Hikvision DS-2DE4225IW-DE audio-in stops working

The Hik-Connect app has been know to 'modify' settings. You could try Hikvision's iVMS-4500 app instead of Hik-Connect. The same credentials should work. iVMS-4500 doesn't inadvertently modify the settings in my experience. Regarding firmware - What are the cameras currently on? As you...

    Hikvision DS-7716NI-ST NVR Restart-Freeze Problem

When you 'the device resets' do you mean the NVR or the NAS? Is the connection lost or does the device reboot? The more info you can provide the easier it will be to narrow the issue down. What firmware is the NVR on? If you are not on V3.4.4 build170526 it may be a good place to start.

    DS-2CD2455FWD-IW vs older DS-2CD2442FWD-IW?

The newer DS-2CD2455FWD-IW would be my recommendation. Have a look at the Easy IP3 feature set.

How to use SADP hikvision tool without admin privileges

Is the end user part of a domain? What message displays when he tries to run SADP? Windows UAC or group policy come to mind. There are 'ways' around this but additional info would help.

    HikVision - stream path URL?

Action Tiles is a web dashboard? Try this - For the HTTP stream, make sure ONVIF is enabled and a user account with the same credentials as the camera/NVR/DVR admin's login exisits. To narrow the issue down (it's not required but will help) enable Hikvision-CGI too. RTSP is tricky to wangle in...

SOLVED: Do not upgrade to 5.6.0!!! Much worser exposure/focus performance

The following will open up features and settings that should not be available. Fiddling may cause the camera to freeze so use with caution. I suggest you only experiment with the exposure settings if you try this. In IE11 open the camera’s webGUI and go to Configuration>Image>Display Settings...

SOLVED: Do not upgrade to 5.6.0!!! Much worser exposure/focus performance

Use the webGUI to restore the settings or refer to your earlier XML response for the original settings. Another way to manipulate the settings might be directly on the webGUI. I'll post a capture on how shortly.

SOLVED: Do not upgrade to 5.6.0!!! Much worser exposure/focus performance

I'm hesitant to say as my camera never had these options to start with. I'll check if there is some documentation in the ISAPI manual.

SOLVED: Do not upgrade to 5.6.0!!! Much worser exposure/focus performance

This is where our cameras differ. One of the parameters is not supported or labeled differently on your camera. In IE11, paste the following and share the result of Exposure. http://192.168.1.29/ISAPI/Image/channels/1

Great. Next step is to send a PUT request to change the settings. Set the METHOD to PUT Use the same URL as before. In the Body field paste the following text: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Exposure> <ExposureType>manual</ExposureType> <OverexposeSuppress> <enabled>true</enabled>...

Ok, that's a step in the right direction. To edit the settings we need to use an extension to send HTTP requests from Chrome. In Chrome, install this extension. Talend API Tester - Free Edition

SOLVED: Do not upgrade to 5.6.0!!! Much worser exposure/focus performance

I suspect it's ISAPI differences. Our cameras probably have different ways of accessing those settings. Try this in Chrome: http://192.168.1.xx/ISAPI/System/time

Ok, you need to enable the CGI (common gateway interface). Our cameras are not identical but hopefully the GUI is comparable. Let's check you get a response from the following: Amend the IP and paste the URL into Chrome. I've done some basic testing and results are promising. Using ISAPI, I'm able to set the hidden exposure settings. SOLVED: Do not upgrade to 5.6.0!!! Much worser exposure/focus performance

The exposure level and mode options are hidden in the camera's webGUI>Configuration>Image>Display Settings for some of the newer firmware. With some fiddling, it's possible to reveal the hidden settings as seen In the image below. It might be possible to capture the HTTP requests for these...

HIKvision DS-2CD2185FWD-I-2.8mm does not record on line crossing

I suspect the new firmware has muddled the line crossing settings and you need to recreate them. I have the same NVR and similar cameras and my line crossing works well. I suggest you stay with v3.4.107 on the NVR and v5.6.3 on the camera. With IE11, open the webGUI of the NVR and the webGUI to...
