    If you get the drop down that asks firmware version then you definitely have the latest device pack. To check go into surveillance station / add ons / device pack, and make sure auto update is selected. Once I get a copy of later firmware I will update mine and see.

    For cat6 cable I get mine from monoprice. I buy the copper cable and not the copper clad aluminum. With 2.5 and 5G ethernet around the corner, I would not be installing anything but cat6a. We used to install cat5e for everything.

    What I did, was connect one, log in and change ip, connect another and do same thing - rinse repeat. Even if you had 30 or 40 cameras it would not take that long.

    I have a ticket #1069263 open with synology, will post back when i get any answers. For now I am doing continuous recording and will try and follow through with the vendors for the fix. I also think it's possibly a Dahua issue, since even the web interfaces for motion are not bug free.

    Interestingly enough I don't have noise and interference during the day, only at night. That leads me to think its not the power issue. Here's the same pic in daylight: I did turn on smart IR, and I will try moving the camera. I will need to wait for night to try that.

    Two thieves caught stealing from our cars. This is a hikvision 2032, and the low light of this camera has always been not that good. Thieves are 5-20ft from the camera and look at it. I have decided to invest in a better camera and am searching for a premium replacement fixed bullet cam.
