    I had many conversation with Lorex on this and it appears that the camera must support or have "VA"(-virtual analytics I believe) and/or the same built in to the camera. My Lorex does not support VA so they would not work as such. If your camera(s) do support this, then they should work.

    Most of the UPS I've worked with are isolated from source/output. Since you are using a different voltage source for your alarm board, it should NOT be connected to the NVR grounding terminals. Doing so can actually result in a grounding loop which again can give you spurious alarms.

    Excellent. I did purchase the DS7608 and since my NVR doesn't have line crossing ability in its software and/or camera, we will see what happens the other way. Only be using non-Hikvision cameras for the time being but they are ONVIF compliant.
