I do have a question regarding one of the camera's. Under PoE on the Hikvision unit, 5 camera's say "connected". One says "disconnected". Would that be an ethernet cable or power cable issue or do I have something turned off in the Hikvision app? Thanks -

So I got in touch with Hikvision and sent them the Expoted file to reset my camera's. When I received the XML file from them, the file was greyed out. I contacted them again and it seems I need a PC to import the file. Go figure. You can Export a file in SADP using a Mac, but you need a PC to... -

I understand where the reset button is. That I can get to. It's the power and ethernet cables I can't get to. Those are in the ceiling and I can't remove the base for some strange reason. Almost like they glued it on. -

That's the problem. See pic. When I remove the glass, the base is screwed to the ceiling but I'm not seeing any screws. I can't get to the power and ethernet cable without removing the base. Thanks -

There is a reset button, but the camera is installed outside below a deck. When I removed the first set of screws it removed the glass. I tried looking for the second set of screws holding the unit to the deck but couldn't see any. I'll have to look again tomorrow in the daylight. I'm surprised... -

I just tried that. There are screws to remove the glass but not the unit. It's been a real fun week and I agree about the previous owner. -

If my router address is 192.168.1.1, should all cameras also be set to that IP address? I do have a monitor connected to the NVR connected via HDMI. When I connect the camera to the NVR, I don't see it anywhere (ex: SADP Tool). If I connect the camera to the new POE I just got today, I do see... -

Also, on the iPhone using Hik-Connect, it says the device is off-line. When I click on the Offline button, it takes me to another page, loads to 100% and then is says, The deice is offline. How would I put it online? Thanks -

Hey guys, thanks for all the info. I appreciate it. So I got a 5 port PoE unit and I connected one of the camera's to it and it see's it. The IP for it is 192.168.254.12. Do I have to reset the password? Also the Hikvision-Connect Status is Disabled. Should I enable it somehow? Thanks -

On the ORBI config page, the IP address is 192.168.1.1. Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 Below it it says: Starting IP address: 192.168.1.2, ending IP address: 192.168.1.254 When I click on the Attached Devices tab, all other devices pop up (iPhone, iPad, computers, Hikvision DS-7608NI, etc...)... -

Also using my iPhone, I just scanned the QR code in the DS-7608NI (Platform Access) page and it brought up the Hik-Connect app. On the app it says, New Device 01. I assume this is the DS-7608NI. When I click on the device, it says "No Camera Linked or Camera is Hided). Do you know what that... -

Hey ipOsX, the SADP Tool version is 1.0.0.4. Latest from the Hikvision website. I have clicked on refresh after launching the app, but that still doesn't bring up the cameras. I'll have to give the router a look. Regarding the iVMS-4200, I just downloaded the latest version and again it only... -

ipOsX, thanks for the info. One thing I noticed is that I can't see any of the camera's listed when using SADP Tool, IP Scanner and a like. Is it necessary to reset the camera's? They were installed pretty high up. I've spent hours trying to figure out the cause. What exactly am I looking for... -
