@Mark P hey, maybe another user can better guide you, but to clarify... the camera has the default 192.168.x.x address but I believe the dhcp on the nvr assigned it a 10.10.x.x address. Thanks for the responses guys. Let me add, I did take the camera down last night and connected it to the NVR using a 3ft cable and it still would not power on by means of PoE. So my thinking is that adding a powered splitter or injector closer to the camera wouldn’t work and it’s probably... -

Hey onetimejc, I had that issue too. I don’t remember the exact resolution to the problem. I believe @mat200 is correct and it’s a substream issue. I believe the Lorex cameras only have a main stream (left) and single substream (right) settings while I think the Dahua has a third substream. On... -

What encoding are you using? H264 or h265? In the recording options how many frames per second does it let you choose? I had this issue, like you said, recording worked but display on monitor was just black. I don’t have the exact answer but when I switched the camera from h265 back to h264 it... -

@Dane Zellers yes, I had similar issues for a while. 1080p monitor and nvr set to dispatch 1080p but it kept going black in the small view (9 view) and but would show up sometimes when I went to single. I origanlly set it to h265 like the Lorex (not default) but changed just the starlight to 264... -
