New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I'd be interested if you can test with setting it up with the "LaView One" app. I already know the "LaView Connect" app is very similar to RCA/Ezviz/etc app but I had to create a new identical account 3 weeks ago for the newer "LaView One" app as it would not accept credentials from my...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I noticed with my HSDB2 that the LaView One app is different from RCA/Ezviz/Hik/etc as I couldn't get it to recognize my acct that works with the latter. I use the following two apps 1. hik-connect(has wifi signal meter and can delete video calls) , 2. ezviz(utilize it's IFTTT and Alexa for...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Yes, there is only RTSP on the HSDB2. I was eventually able to config my Dahua NVR to record the RTSP stream from HSDB2 but it wasn't straightforward as selecting "ONVIF" from dropdown like with the HSDB1.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

There is no ONVIF on the LaView. A quick way is hoping someone can provide copy of their firmware to test on our RCA units. I use LTS or Nelly's firmware on my RCA HSDB1 doorbell without any issues so would think it will be similar for HSDB2 if we can get Ezviz or LaView's firmware.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Curious if anyone has the LaView variant of this HSDB2 wifi doorbell. I'm guessing it's the same hardware underneath as the RCA/Ezviz/etc but seems like LaView camp has more info like PIR Thermal Motion Detection, Sony Starlight sensor for night vision, H.264+ compression, Amazon Alexa, etc on...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

NP. Basically, it's the same way on my older HSDB1 doorbell on my Dahua NVR. Only difference was the previous version was ONVIF compliant so easier to add which they removed in HSDB2.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Yes, that is the minor issue since HSDB2(Hikvision) is not compatible with Dahua IVS so it's continuous recording with no IVS triggered events in timeline. I just reference the timestamp in app to NVR when there is a need to review footage before/during/after the motion detection event.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Fyi, I am now able to get my HSDB2 working with my Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 NVR! It was a negative to not have ONVIF capability like my HSDB1 model but now happy that my HSDB2 is recording to my NVR. No IVS since it's a Hik so still have to rely on motion detection/alert via Hik-Connect app.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I upgraded to firmware v5.2.4 build 190124 this morning and my RTSP stream works fine as expected. Color seems better now.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Yeah, my first call was painful but once we got to 2nd line Techs they seemed to be more knowledgeable about the product over the past year. I'm guessing they went through same learning curve for HSDB2 since it's a rebranded Hik doorbell. On a separate topic, I saw a CNET article covering CES...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Since RCA tech support keeps reiterating that ONVIF and RTSP are not supported and not supposed to work on both HSDB1 and HSDB2, I hope RCA can't tweak the Hik firmware to remove features like RTSP.... See the company line earlier in this thread that I've also seen in the various HSDB1...

That is nice to hear. I'll give it a couple weeks before upgrading mine if others have good feedback on 190124.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Anyone upgraded to latest firmware v5.2.4 build 190124? It's nice to see that there has been a couple firmware releases recently on the HSDB2 model so looks like they're listening to user feedback and fixing things.... 1. Improves image color 2. Bug fixes and improvements 3. Enhances device...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

There's some user feedback on the thread for RCA HSDB2 model(identical to Ezviz model DB1 which is a Hik subsidiary). I have both HSDB1(RCA) and HSDB2(RCA) so my comments below. The minor stuff can be gradually improved with future firmware releases. HSDB2 would've been perfect if it just had...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Yes, it works with the Hik-Connect app just like on the v1 HSDB1 model. I use my RCA HSDB2 with Hik-Connect and Ezviz app.

    RCA Video Doorbell

Yes, I tried the manual route as well since I've upgraded that unit before via SD-card and over wi-fi and everything else I could think of 7 months ago. No lights or anything when connected to power even on my test bench.

ANNKE I61DR 2MP (Hikvision Cube Clone)

I haven't been following this thread for a while since I upgraded my two cubes to v5.4.5 build 170123 over a year ago. I now see there is v5.4.81 build 180203 on the Europe site and v5.4.41 build 170312 in this thread. Has anyone try upgrading to either of these newer firmware's assuming they...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Okay thanks for confirming that's what I thought I might have to do since I haven't found any copies on the web so it's going to be 2 step flashing route.

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Any new FW updates for this video doorbell? I'm on FW v180726 but have experienced the offline issue mentioned above a couple of times now. Things continue to work with motion detection notifications but no video viewing from microsd card until you manually get it back online status. Wonder...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Yeah, I've seen this before when they have hiccups on their cloud backend. It's not just the Hikvision Doorbell but I've seen it on their Ezviz cameras as well which uses the same backend. My RCA doorbell continued to record to my Dahua NVR just fine during that period and still got push...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

In my experience, I had to go into the other app(RCA, Ezviz, LTS, etc) to remove the device registration from that app before I can re-add back to my Hik-Connect app or any other app. Resetting the doorbell doesn't remove it's association to that previous app in the cloud backend. You might...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I haven't used the RCA app for 3-4months now so not sure how their grid looks like anymore. The Hik app is okay sized grids. The smallest I believe is EzViz app. However, I use the Doorbell's web ui to set my motion detection grid as it granular enough for my needs. The other reason I like...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Fyi, in case others might be interested. The FW that came with my new RCA unit no longer locked you down to video stream settings at 12fps that occurred when I was still at FW171219. I also noticed that Hikvision must have fixed the backend interoperability recently. In June, I couldn't use...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Yes, that annoying subscriber is not available message is no longer present in the recent versions of FW. In my last RCA(bricked upgrading to FW 180515), I had to mute the volume just to workaround the message. The new RCA unit doesn't have that message so I haven't upgraded it's FW as it's...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

They are all the same hardware with different faceplate on exterior(except RCA where it has no label which was why I liked it over LTS/LaView/Clare/Nelly/Uniden/etc). I've installed many FW on my RCA doorbell and they all worked fine. Well except for 180515 which killed my last RCA unit but it...
