Yes, there is only RTSP on the HSDB2. I was eventually able to config my Dahua NVR to record the RTSP stream from HSDB2 but it wasn't straightforward as selecting "ONVIF" from dropdown like with the HSDB1. -

There is no ONVIF on the LaView. A quick way is hoping someone can provide copy of their firmware to test on our RCA units. I use LTS or Nelly's firmware on my RCA HSDB1 doorbell without any issues so would think it will be similar for HSDB2 if we can get Ezviz or LaView's firmware. -

NP. Basically, it's the same way on my older HSDB1 doorbell on my Dahua NVR. Only difference was the previous version was ONVIF compliant so easier to add which they removed in HSDB2. -

Yes, that is the minor issue since HSDB2(Hikvision) is not compatible with Dahua IVS so it's continuous recording with no IVS triggered events in timeline. I just reference the timestamp in app to NVR when there is a need to review footage before/during/after the motion detection event. -

Fyi, I am now able to get my HSDB2 working with my Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 NVR! It was a negative to not have ONVIF capability like my HSDB1 model but now happy that my HSDB2 is recording to my NVR. No IVS since it's a Hik so still have to rely on motion detection/alert via Hik-Connect app. -

Since RCA tech support keeps reiterating that ONVIF and RTSP are not supported and not supposed to work on both HSDB1 and HSDB2, I hope RCA can't tweak the Hik firmware to remove features like RTSP.... See the company line earlier in this thread that I've also seen in the various HSDB1... -

Yes, it works with the Hik-Connect app just like on the v1 HSDB1 model. I use my RCA HSDB2 with Hik-Connect and Ezviz app. -

Yes, I tried the manual route as well since I've upgraded that unit before via SD-card and over wi-fi and everything else I could think of 7 months ago. No lights or anything when connected to power even on my test bench.- Pilot04

Any new FW updates for this video doorbell? I'm on FW v180726 but have experienced the offline issue mentioned above a couple of times now. Things continue to work with motion detection notifications but no video viewing from microsd card until you manually get it back online status. Wonder... -

Yeah, I've seen this before when they have hiccups on their cloud backend. It's not just the Hikvision Doorbell but I've seen it on their Ezviz cameras as well which uses the same backend. My RCA doorbell continued to record to my Dahua NVR just fine during that period and still got push... -

In my experience, I had to go into the other app(RCA, Ezviz, LTS, etc) to remove the device registration from that app before I can re-add back to my Hik-Connect app or any other app. Resetting the doorbell doesn't remove it's association to that previous app in the cloud backend. You might... -
