    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

    Has anyone installed either of these two cameras under a soffit. Basically, does it HAVE to be installed on a wall or does the mount allow you to turn it 90-degrees so you can install it under a soffit or ceiling type surface. My guess is 'yeah' but I was hoping so get an actual answer.

    On more question bro; Do you absolutely need to instlal this camera with a junction box? I have sofits that I will install the camera under and I don't really care for the added thickness of the box. I'm assuming though that you do need it though especially to seal out the moisture.

    Question? If I buy one from one of those from one of the links up above (Alixpress,Amazon, etc), can I use the firmware from the EU portal? Does it matter if I live in the U.S.? Should I be buying from someplace else?
