    Windows 10 install

NVME is all fast, the PCI4 stuff is faster than PCI3, but assuming you have an older motherboard just but the PCI3 stuff as its still very fast over SSD (4-6* faster) and you only need a small one for the boot drive. You can also get a PCIE *4 card adapter for NVME, which is why I just got on...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

I was referring to this @looney2ns - did you manage to get the substream with both views to work in BI? Me and my $50 are about to invest in a license, I have it running demo in a VM which seems to work well at least with my current 4 cams, but the forum virus has me, and more are on the way...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

I believe you will need two licenses as it appears as two cameras (enter twice with stream 1 and then stream 2 for the two cams). It does support a sub-stream with both views I think it said in the review? But that did not work with BI, unknown if it works with synology - is it on their list I...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Thanks. I still want one of these at the front of the house, but routing the cable is proving a challenge, and the porch has a stone lintel I don't really want to drill so I am working out if I can bolt the camera to an L bracket and mount from behind instead. I talked myself out of it as it...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

@looney2ns can I ask how this one mounts, looks like the 3 screws go through body before you attach the cover is that correct?

    Christmas Sales 2021

I am jealous - I made 10 applications for the 2MP PTZ on front of the house and had 10 refusals! Not saying I was committed, but I already bought the PFA151 as saw a local deal on Amazon and its a big lump of metal to ship from China so free Amazon delivery for the win!

    Christmas Sales 2021

@EMPIRETECANDY I am really curious what happens to the VAT as well, not your on store but any generic random ali order will arrive to UK with low value declared, so I suspect this is a very good business for Aliexpress to collect these taxes... Will be sending you an email to order direct, as...

    IPC-T2431T-AS - plastic base

Funnily enough I was looking at mine today thinking about putting it on a 203 mount to get better position and wondering the same thing! mines inside a building so no concerns about theft but it does seem to be a flaw in the design?

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

From the spec on page 1: Need to supply own mic and speaker but appears to be supported.

Focal range - finding the right cam

Thanks, I will, be playing with deepstack but not compromising overall image for a plate at night etc. ANPR is not my objective here. I have a 2231 as well but it’s at the front door and zoomed out, I may swap it with a 2.8mm 2431 which has proved to be a great budget option somewhere else. I...

Focal range - finding the right cam

Thanks mat200, so that is what I felt was probably the case, I can cross of the base 12mm 5442 and need to chose between the 2MP 64mm 5241E and the more expensive, but probably the right choice, 5442-Z4E 4MP which gets higher res as well as 32mm reach (even if its parked at half its reach at...

Focal range - finding the right cam

Ok, so I want to add a camera outside the front of the house that will be mounted in one corner of the property boundary looking accross the front (which is sensible option with access road layout). Want to be able to get good view in front of the house at 16m (52ft) to 18m (59ft), it did not...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Thansk Andy - what's shipping to UK like at the moment - I think Ali add VAT now so no import issues? The bracket has extra shippign charge as its heavy I think?

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Looking at the data sheet, this version works with the PFB203W bracket it looks like? Could be good front door cam with looking both ways at the same time...

REVIEW: Budget 4MP Turret Comparison - IPC-T2431T-AS vs Chinese HDW4433C-A

2431 seems good, it stays in colour until very low light, for what I need it wasn’t worth paying more for this location.

REVIEW: Budget 4MP Turret Comparison - IPC-T2431T-AS vs Chinese HDW4433C-A

Just got one of these from Andy, great performance for the money. The plastic mount is a bit cheap and cheerful if your used to the usual Dahua metal ones but but as mine is going inside a building not a worry. Anyone tell me if these can be powered from 24v passive POE? Spec says 802.3af...

    Review-Dahua SD1A203T-GN Starlight Mini PTZ

Thanks for outside feedback, will move it outside and try a IPC-T2431T-AS inside where I have it now. found deep in the menu a setting to reboot once a week - turned that off to hopefully solve my 4am reboot issue!

    Review-Dahua SD1A203T-GN Starlight Mini PTZ

New firmware nice. Mine has developed a habit of resetting itself at 4:15am on occasion (always the same time) and I am hoping this cures that habit... its on its own VLAN so its not an external event causing it, and no other cameras or devices on the PoE switch have issues so suspect its the...

    Review-Dahua SD1A203T-GN Starlight Mini PTZ

Yes mine was so bad the image was obscured to start with, this was inside my garage on temporary test as well - it did clear and has been fine every since, I think there must be slica inside and they pack them somewhere in the rain!

I see you also have condensation inside the dome, mine was terrible after I received it, dried out eventually.

    Review-Dahua SD1A203T-GN Starlight Mini PTZ

The LED's light depending on which way the camera is pointing, waste of power to IR illuminate 180 degrees behind the camera where it can't see. If you use a mobil and pan the camera you will see the IR turn on and off as the camera goes around the other side.

    Review-Dahua SD1A203T-GN Starlight Mini PTZ

 This one I would add not form Andy as he had no stock, but its legit Dahua both camera and firmware are branded (2231 from Andy was "IP Camera" branded). I don't really want to open it up, I might undo the SD door and bring it inside for a bit.

    Review-Dahua SD1A203T-GN Starlight Mini PTZ

Nope, 15c out there at the moment, that's 60f in funny units. Apart from hat fully functional, gearing seems very quiet, everything else ok.
