    Builder ran ethernet to an outlet box. Looks just like a light switch box. 4.5 inch rectangle with screw holes in the middle ofnthe short sides. Which junction box will work with this? I can't find the information online.

    ivms 4500 and 4200 can't change between sub and main stream without freezing

    I have 6 hikvision DS-2CD2012WD. For wahtever reason 2 of them will not switch between sub stream and main stream without freezing. I have rebooted the system multiple times. Remote playback still good quality, just can't stream. Would there be a reason why?

    Ok so it cleared it up I stead of Whiting everything put, but as the car drives by it goes in and out of focus. If I stop it at the exact right second I can see it, but mainly blurry. How do I get it to focus better?

    The shutter speed is 1/1000. It's white because of the smart light feature. I turned that off and now it's darker, but the image is very grainy when a car drives up

    Shutter speed is 1/1000. Should I turn off night mode and use only day? If I don't need to see that much I think night mode is worthless. If I leave it in day mode, it is pitch black until a car pulls up and I can see the plate. Also there is no gain setting

    It's a hikvision DS-2CD7A26G0. I know the angle isn't perfect, but I just moved and that is the only location for it. During the day I can get license plates easy. At night it shifts to night mode and it's whited out.

    So leave in day mode all the time, black image except when a car comes by? I tried the faster shutter speed but in night mode its still bad.

    I got a hikvision darkfigjter with LPR. Works great during the day. My street is very dark, and at night it switches to night mode. Issue is, I can't read the license plate at night. Just shows a white square. Any settings I can change so LPR works in night mode? Thank you

    The camera I am looking to replace is on my front porch facing the street. The street is somewhat angled so I have a good view of the cars license plate. Is the camera going to give me a wide enough view to protect my whole yard or will I need to keep my current camera to get the wide angle?
