Starlight comes to Dashcams -IPC-MW4231A-E2 2MP Dual Lens Dash Camera

That connector was the deal breaker for me otherwise I would have already had one! I was going to make my own m12 6 pin to rj45 and another cord just to hardwire it to vehicle but I didn't have any luck finding that m12 6 pin either. Just not worth the effort in my opinion. Maybe some forum...

Suspending email alerts - quickly ?

You can set up a time schedule in your IVS rules or increase the time limit in snapshot email settings. Other than that there is no other way that I know of.

    Multiple snapshots in email ?

There is no other way. Like I said, If you only allow the email coming from your NVR with attachments it discards the others. For added piece of mind just have the ones without attachments sent to another folder and you can check to see if it is blocking relevant emails. I have not had any...

    Multiple snapshots in email ?

Yes that is par for course with dahua. Simple solution would be to get an email that allows you to set filters. I have Xfinity and only allow mail with attachments through from my NVR. Works great!

Your wrong. This is an IP camera and Both my SD49225 and SD59225 have the OSD when using my NVR You can access this on the PTZ pop up menu when you click on the ptz icon That was just an example of the display I am trying to reach with this camera.

    SD29204T-GN On Screen PTZ setup

When I am logged into my NVR and attempt to access the On screen display setup it does not appear like my other cameras. Just curious if this is the norm or I have a problem. I can access via web no problem just the NVR will not allow it just the basic video settings. this is the menu I am...

What is causing this pulsating video (DH-SD59225U-HNI)

I just played around with my i frame and it does have this pulsing effect. Reset your codec to default, increase your bit rate and it should go away. I have mine set at 30fps I frame = 60 VBR 6 and 4096 bit rate. Nice smooth video.

What is causing this pulsating video (DH-SD59225U-HNI)

I had this issue with mine after playing with the image settings a bunch. Did a factory reset and all went back to normal. The lower the bit rate the more pulsing. also bump up the quality setting on VBR.

Viewing Dahua NVR through TV via HDMI

That’s what I did. I have my NVR in another room and I put a USB extension into the same room as my TV and plugged in the wireless mouse dongle. Works great!

Starlight comes to Dashcams -IPC-MW4231A-E2 2MP Dual Lens Dash Camera

The pin-out looks easy enough. Just not user friendly here in the U.S. it can be done just a lot of work for this type of cable. Too bad on many levels! The IPC-A46 consumer cam etc. awesome performance but nothing readily available. This dash cam would sell like hot cakes if it was easily...

Starlight comes to Dashcams -IPC-MW4231A-E2 2MP Dual Lens Dash Camera

That connector is a deal breaker for me. I would have to find m12 connectors and make my own cords. One m12 to rj45 for computer and one m12 for hardwired connection to vehicle. Ideal would be a connector to OBDII port and 12v battery discharge protection. it can be done, just time consuming.

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

That’s exactly what I used for my mics. As far as the wall wart I was having trouble with one picking up a lot of static, hum and general interference. I used a 9 volt battery and it works amazing. I may just look to amazon for a small solar panel and rechargable 9 volt battery set up. The...

Starlight comes to Dashcams -IPC-MW4231A-E2 2MP Dual Lens Dash Camera

Details as to how it connects to vehicle, What is included as far as wiring, if it’s only the M12 connector cable then a “how to” and what is needed for the install would be nice. Nothing in the user manual except pin out.

    SD49225-HNI microphone inst. 9v batt.

I just tried another wall charger with horrible hum and static. The 9v battery absolutely does the trick, Probably the best sounding mic I have hooked up this way. I may try the microseven with a 9v depending on how long this one lasts.

PTZ Activation Setup - Dahua Wiki This shows a how to on motion detection, Same rules apply for IVS! So basically, You create an IVS rule and set a tripwire etc. on your fixed camera. Then under the settings for that rule you just created on the fixed camera you can now set a PTZ channel to...

    Auto tracking

or have your ptz’s move to your fixed cams IVS rules. I love playing around with auto tracking and watching the reactions people have when they see the camera following them. To me it’s a novelty but I find using fixed cams with IVS and having the ptz respond to those locations or perform a...

Thank you Looney2ns, I suspected as much and was going to try it anyway but I ran out of cable. I currently have mine on the WiFi.
