    I agree... thankfully I don't need mine for security, so a random reboot even a couple times a day isn't a huge deal for me... but I'm like you, just annoyed... That said... I thought Andy provides the warranty? or is it just Dahua and we need to pass it through him assuming Dahua honors it?

    So... Only one reboot since I made those changes and Log doesn't say "Abort" this time. Strange that its become stable, but sounds like this model has some issues with quality control. Fingers crossed mine stays stable.

    Interesting... whats the theory, that the firmware corrupted on factory flash, so doing it this way helps ensure a "clean" updated firmware?     Your right, i'm not 100% sure... however, statistically i am very sure... that same cable ran another non-ptz camera for over a month without an issue, so highly unlikely. I agree, time for bench testing... just haven't had the weather as I'm not climbing up a ladder in snow and -8degC

    Thanks @Tinman - I copied your settings on video (i had it at 20FPS and a higher bitrate as i want to record fast motion, but will try the lower settings). I also disable the secondary stream, which I used for just quick remote viewing, just in case. Lets see if that makes it more stable...
