    Email Server - Proton

Does the DDNS service offered by IPCamtalk offer the ability to update the "DNS Console" configuration and allow BI to link to Proton email? In the past (wayyyyy past), I set BI up to use Yahoo's SMTP servers. I haven't had a Yahoo account in years but am still using it for BI alerts. One...

Setting up NetTime Time Sync Tool on Windows 10

Thank you for this info. Do you remember which one was reportedly accepted vs not? My current assumption is that the NTP Server (Nettime) would be the accepted one.

Setting up NetTime Time Sync Tool on Windows 10

Excellent. Thank you, this is what I needed. I do have mine set up with a second subnet also for the same reason. Greatly appreciate the response and such clear instructions. I will work on getting this installed today.

Setting up NetTime Time Sync Tool on Windows 10

I am only now tuning BlueIris and the Cameras correctly (via help on this site and the Wiki). The timestamp on my Camera video captures are using the Blue Iris timestamp (I believe) and the Cameras themselves are set to sync up with the PC clock. Is there a reason for me to use NetTime Time...

    Wiki / Subnet DNS question

(I hope this is correct Forum category) First off, hats off and much thanks for all the work that went into the Wiki on BlueIris, etc. Incredible information! I had a question about configuring my BlueIris cameras on the subnet. (two NIC's). Protecting the BI and the cameras for the Internet...

PC now struggling. 70 to 99% cpu

Found a bit of an oddity while starting BI on this new Win11 Pro PC. I had to go back to the old style of creating a batch file and placing it in STARTUP to get BI to launch when booting up. Is this the most efficient way? I just couldn't get STARTUP to run BlueIrisAdmin.exe even after placing...

PC now struggling. 70 to 99% cpu

Quick status update: Received the New (new to me, rebuilt) PC from eBay today. Now running at 6% CPU!!!!! (11 active cameras). Installed the two WD 2TB Purple HDD. Configured the two NIC cards (cameras are all on a separate subnet). Transferred BlueIris over. Allocated disks leaving 20%...

    Frustrate: Blur....

Outstanding! Love that clarity! Side note: I ordered a replacement camera for one in our back from EmpireTech. Looking forward to the ability to improve my set up. All thanks to you, bigredfish and the folks on this forum. Started with 12 year old PC. External SSD disk drives...

    Frustrate: Blur....

Ok, I have night-mode tuned for people and walking. Image looks spectactular (to me anyway). It is not tuned to capturing cars except with a blur. My risk factor is for people, so I think I'm good. I have other cameras that capture License plates at night. (even though I am learning that I...

    Frustrate: Blur....

Do you force your night settings to color? Or should I allow it to stay monochrome (auto mode)?

Ok, will do. I am too jealous of the quality of the images you folks are getting.

We have really dialed this camera in so much from my beginnings. Thanks so much everyone. I will work on what I have learned here from you all tomorrow when our "filtered Northwest light" comes back around!

Both sides of my current focus (either selecting the plus or the minus) take it immediately out of focus.

    Frustrate: Blur....

That quality is definitely what I am striving for. My vehicles are around 70 to 80 feet out and I am only half way "zoomed" based on the cameras ability.

Here is a capture from the Camera's video file with the new settings: Try 1/2000 shutter gain 40-40 NR 25 bitrate highest.

    Frustrate: Blur....

Well this is interesting. After adjusting those settings, it stayed monochrome. Try 1/2000 shutter gain 40-40 NR 25 bitrate highest. (please let me know if you can see this image. It is a BMP saved as a jpeg.

    Frustrate: Blur....

Ok, I have readjusted those settings to match. Interestingly, when I do, the camera feed goes completely monochrome. I have to reboot the camera to get it to reset to color. (same thing happened on the previous camera (Dahua 1/1.8 chip)

Are you able to see the exported BMP files from the camera? I have to ask if I am doing something wrong when selecting the camera icon in LIVE view. It just saves it without asking for the output format...

    Frustrate: Blur....

Ok, I have increased the bitrate to the highest I can now. (8192)

Here is one from the RECORD with the camera snapshot icon on the bottom right (Vehicle) and one from LIVE view (no vehicle because I don't know if I can time a vehicle in the screen that way) bmp files

This shows that the LIVE view is from the main stream.
