Ubiquiti G4 Doorbell on UDM SE. IP info in BI changes when AP reboots

UniFi Network allows you to fix an IP address to a device in the particular device's settings. Have you tried that?

In my case, Andy was advising not to upgrade for my model: SD49225T-HN if it is working, which it is.

Hi Andy, Can you confirm that this firmware (General_SD-Mao-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_IVS_V2.800.0000000.6.R.210705.bin) would be okay for my SD49225T-HN ? It doesn't have the "S2" at the end of the device type. Here is my current firmware:

    Best Wireless LPR camera's

Get a pair of Ubiquiti Nanostations. They are LAN radios, and have a good throughput and distance.

    LPR for HOA?

Such a network of cameras doesn't need to be associated with the HOA. It could just be a trusted individual hosting the server and LAN is association with other concerned homeowners. Assuming there a number of homes within zoom range facing the entrances then there are options.

    LPR for HOA?

The use of LAN radios brings the video stream directly to a central PC running BI. The homeowner just has to provide the electricity. These radios can traverse 9 miles under ideal line of site conditions. UI makes a variety of LAN radios which might fit the need. Worst case is the LAN radios...

    LPR for HOA?

A standard LPR camera such as the Dahua's IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E attached to each home with a good view of the entrances costs about $250. Amazon seller 'EmpireTech" is the best supplier of English-language firmware cameras. Add in a pair of Ubiquiti (UI.com) LAN radios for maybe $200. The one time...

    LPR for HOA?

My suggestion would be to use one central BI server, and all the remote cameras covering all entrances to the neighborhood would be connected via Ubiquiti LAN radios. A pair of radios would run maybe $100 - $200. Ubiquiti makes a variety of these radios, some requiring line of site, others more...

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

Wonder if Ubiquiti makes LAN radios not requiring line of site. Even so, at least you have the whole neighborhood covered. Good job!

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

Curious to learn whether the old camera going to a neighbor will still have a stream to your BI, and if so, how? The use of Ubiquiti LAN radios would be ideal.

Blue Iris App - doesnt work unless on home wifi

Zerotier looks like a simple solution. I wonder how setting up the BI to connect to the new network how that would impact other devices in the home which use BI, such as HomeSeer, etc? They all need the local LAN address to connect.

Access UI3 or BI App externally?

There's the Pushover.net service, where notifications come to the phone from BI. There's a one-time purchase fee for the phone app, and as I recall 10,000 free notifications per month. The notifications are set up in the Alerts tab of each camera. This would not require a VPN or proxy manager or...

How practical is it to connect my parents IP cam from their house to my BI server remotely?

For locations within 5 miles of your BI server, consider using UniFi LAN radios, for extending your home network over the air.

    IR for ALPR

I, too, have HS4. Curious to learn more about the collection to HomeSeer. Can you share some details on this? For example, if my camera sees my plate arriving then I could open up the garage door with automation.

Drives overallocated even after rebuilding DB

I've had the same issue a few times in the past 6 months or so. Delete the DB folder, lose all the alerts, and it will work for a while until the problem returns. I keep updating the version, and deleting the DB. It has been stable for the past month or so, so there's hope.

Easiest ways to view BI on remote monitors inside home?

Fire OS is always a mystery to me. Luckily after much effort I can usually locate the icon for the Silk browser to get the UI3 to open. The Fire OS is not very intuitive.

Easiest ways to view BI on remote monitors inside home?

My AMZN tablet occasionally drops the UI3 connection and then goes to sleep, or else goes to sleep and then drops the UI3.. What are you running for a keep-alive program?

    IR for ALPR

My old 900nm IR helped a bit to illuminate plates for the 5241z12, but I recently opted for an 850nm to get cleaner images, albeit at Axton prices.

    LPR for 160m/540f

The plates are much sharper with the 11e emitter and 1/2,000 shutter on the Dahua 5241Z12. Here's a look at a capture at about 170 feet.

    LPR for 160m/540f

My Dahua 5241 camera was using a large IR emitter of invisible light, but the line of site to the plates on the street crosses a neighbor's property, and I didn't like how the old IR emitter was widely radiating the neighbor's property with IR, as well as the fact that invisible IR does not...

Database Repair - Seeing Red Again and Again

Blue Iris used to be very stable, but for the past 6 months or so, I've had to delete the DB folder and rebuild the database. This has happened at least 4 times now. OpenALPR Tool - Save and Query CSV Exports

Considering the PlateRecognizer (PR), as I understand, it only inserts an entry into the BI log file. It would be an easy task to open the log file and parse for these plates, and enter them into the database. Or if the need was just to collect unique plates then to look up for the plate and...

OpenALPR Tool - Save and Query CSV Exports

What I like about the Rekor ALPR is that it works really well capturing plates and identifying different state license plates. LPR for 160m/540f

Thanks for the link. The Linovision splitter should work well, as one port allows for 8W and the other for 16W. The IR emitter is rated at 11W. I do have a 120V AC outlet not too far from where the camera and old emitter are under the eaves, so your PoE injector would work okay if it were...

    LPR for 160m/540f

Sorry I don't follow the suggestion on going premium, CCTVCam. Is the concern that a splitter would be used? Or the model of splitter? I hope the wattage will be okay, as I have a PTZ camera drawing 12.5 to 16W on another port.
