Is this possible to link these two together? Meaning I can view what is happening on wireless cameras on my laview nvr?
Also, I bought these wireless cameras used, and when I use the laview app to add them, it says I have to unlink it from another account, but not really sure how to do...
Hey everyone, first of all I am trying to secure a 1story home in a good neighborhood.
I am on kind of on a budget as well, but trying to make due with what I can for now.
So far I have 4 ip laview cameras running on a nvr in my main room (thinking I should move it, or hide it where it doesnt...
I'm currently using the LaView LV-KNT982A42W4, and was given a axis m3024 for a project i overworked my butt on . I'm wondering if I should keep it, seems like it would be expensive to purchase another one? Is it a great camera, or a bit dated?
Thanks in advance!
Just went back, and police officer just told me now there's no need to install them, that you can always just use your smart video and record a video, that should be enough for them.
What could the prosecutor do?
Wow, thanks for letting me know. I wonder if it's possible to buy or build a cheaper audio device, or even just recorder I could put by one of the cameras to solve this issue. You know something that could be fully independent of the camera and run off a sd card or something?
So there's no way I can somehow add audio to a camera? As for the city noise ordinance, my county does not have a noise ordinance (unless they are in their vehicle or a police officer just happens to see them and its over 85 decibels). However, the authorities said if it does happen again, and...
Just wanted to update everyone and give a big thanks to @mat200 and @TonyR along with everyone else who chimmed in this thread!
So the cameras are installed (not by me, my family went behind my back a day or two after, and hired some people to install them). They put the 4mp in the back, and...
Thanks @sw07tc, I called laview and they sorted it out.
Now the last and probably hardest step is installing the camera system.
Any advice or tips on installing these? I'm guessing I would first find out where I'm placing the cameras, slowly drill a hole a in the middle of the drill template...
Hard Drive finally came in, and installed. Ran into a somewhat issue if anyone can help.
I plugged in the cameras into different ports, and now they wont detect any. It keeps saying "password is incorrect" when I plug it in and try to detect it.
Wondering if theres a way to completely reset...
The kit should be arrive this week.
I found someone who said they'll put it up for $200, wondering if I should get them or is it simple to diy?
Here's a idea of where I'm thinking to install them. In the pics above (I circled where the camera would go), they would probably settle under a Eve...
Thanks for the hd advice. I mean in the video, there's a amcrest Poe camera example around the 2:35 mark. Was wondering if that's the quality I could expect with the 2.1 laview cameras I ordered?
Another quick question, should I go for the 1tb wd purple or the 2tb hgst refrub below:
Hitachi 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA III 6.0Gb/s (Heavy Duty, 24/7) 3.5" Internal Desktop Hard Drive (For PC, Mac, CCTV DVR, RAID, NAS) (Certified Refurbished)...
My exact thoughts as well. I really wish there was a few video examples of these cameras (sd deal).
I wonder if they show anywhere close to this example with an amcrest hd 2.1mp ip camera used in this video around the 2:35 mark...
Just got the notification the order is being shipped. So know I'm going to order a 1tb wd purple (showing $50 on amazon). Thanks for all the advice @mat200
Thanks for the advice @mat200 what I really meant is between the laview 5mp above and the one $280 above, which setup would be better? Would the 5mp kit be better because of the 5mp cameras, or would the Poe kit be better because it's poe, even though it's 2mp cameras, would it be better less...
Is it this one:
LaView 5MP System
Or is this one a better system (as far as cameras/quality):
LaView LV-KNT982A42W4 4MP Zoom HD 8 Channel NVR PoE IP Security System, with 2pcs 4MP (2688 x 1520) and 2pcs 2MP (1920 x 1080) Bullet Camera (No HDD Included, Sold Separately)(Upgraded Cam) –...
Thanks, just ordered them and returned the swanns. Right after I order them, I read that the night vision isn't really that good? Did I make a good decision with my budget or was there an alternative I should've went for? My reasoning was to use the two 4mp in the front, and the 2 2mp on the...
I appreciate the advice. Going to return these asap to sams, and get these. As for the other tools needed, I found a security 1tb just to get started for $60 at frys by wd.
As for other tools, what other things would I need? Cat 5e cables?
Thanks @mat200 , is this the model:
LaView LV-KNT982A42W4 4MP Zoom HD 8 Channel NVR PoE IP Security System, with 2pcs 4MP (2688 x 1520) and 2pcs 2MP (1920 x 1080) Bullet Camera (No HDD Included, Sold Separately)(Upgraded Cam) - Newegg.com
My family went behind my yesterday, and bought this...
Thanks @mat200. Yes If it was just me, I would research longer, but family has put a ton of pressure on me, along with a terrible situation with a neighbor (had to contact authorities recently because they were blasting well into the night again and again).
Just saw a laview kit for $499 on...
