Allright, I don't see a print screen of the storage page I mentioned, only the alarm and playback pages.

    Potential vulnerability in NVR

Where did you find these logs? If you look under 'Alarm' and then select one of the lowest options 'Exception' you'll see the logs of Illegal login attempt. There I've always seen an IP-address, mostly Bralizian, Russian or French and always have multiple reports of abuse if you search only.

    New to NVR request direction

Indeed interesting, but seems to differ per model number. The links in @tigerwillow1 's post are a bit old. The newest user guide/quick start guide can be found under the 'Downloads' tab here. In the user guide on page 24/25 is where my screenshot comes from.

It's important to mention which blue light comes on: I never format my drives, just use them out of the package.

    New to NVR request direction

Not always true. You can still buy an external switch when the internal switch dies. The NVR is then not trash, assuming the uplink port is functioning and just the POE part is broken.

New Dahua DMSS Mobile App Problems

Still, at what bitrates do you run your cams? When I set my cams to CBR at 8192 kbps my phone with 8GB of RAM has the same notification about the memory (which makes me think the app just calculates if the notification should be shown based on the combined bps of the cams you're trying to view...

    WizMind vs WizMind "S" ?

The new HDW5442TM-ASE seems to use a somewhat cheaper body with more plastic and they'll be more the same diameter as the PFB205W (one thing I dislike about using a PFB204W with the current fix focal HDW5442TM-AS is that the cams diameter is much smaller). The difference will only be 3.7 mm...

New Dahua DMSS Mobile App Problems

Are you using the DMSS HD app? This one is meant for use on tablets. That could be the reason you have trouble to swipe to the next cam (I haven't encountered that problem on many different Android tablets). You can easily fix this: on the homepage click the three dots next to your NVR ->...

Dahua NVR "control room" connection, 3 open ports on router

Europac has them and I read somewhere SMC does as well, not sure though, you'd have to call. Also heard good things about RoutIT (KPN) but don't know about their connections methods.

Dahua NVR "control room" connection, 3 open ports on router

It really depends on which control room (or PAC, seeing you're located in the Netherlands as well) you have. Some PACs can supply you with a special VPN router to connect to your NVR. I have the same problem and they mostly recommend to open ports, which I think is quite controversial coming...

    Help in selecting proper NVR

They can handle recording multiple 4k camera's as long as you stay within the bandwidth, the decoding is where it usually lacks. This is the amount of channels it can play back at once at a given resolution. AFAIK from the NVR itself (be it when connected to a display or via the web interface)...

    New to NVR request direction

I usually go with TP-Link, because of the price-performance ratio. Also ones where the socket can be used for something else, this is where I plug the POE injector so I only need one socket and those without WiFi. Don't know what models are best available to you as I'm in Europe, TL-PA7017P...

    New to NVR request direction

Another option, which is more stable than wifi, would be to use Power Line Adapters. These will use your exsisting AC wiring for the data. YMMV but I've had good results using them on different installations where wiring was nearly impossible.

    New to NVR request direction

WiFi camera's are rarely a good idea which I why you don't see many professional brands advertise with this, so I'd personally rethink that. For the NVR, I'd recommend a Dahua 5 series like NVR5216-16P-4KS2. This will give you 16 channels and the same amount of POE ports on the back. If you want...

    Problems viewing through app

DMSS Home page -> Plus sign top right corner -> SN/Scan. Scan the QR code or type the serial number and choose (in your case) Wired Camera.

    Problems viewing through app

Exactly, there lies your problem. You can try to add the office cams via the QR code if you want to view them the same way as your home cams, but again: we recommend setting up a proper VPN like most of us here.

    Problems viewing through app

Yes that'll work, although a VPN is recommended. If you check under Network -> P2P in the cam, it should be shown as 'Online' if you checked the box. If not, there is something else wrong with your settings, either in the cam or in the router.

    Need Help with NVR

It would be useful to disclose the type of NVR you're using. Generally: go to the main menu -> Display -> Tour. There you can set the interval between views, the order, how many cams at a time etc.

    Problems viewing through app

With the information you provided, that's technically impossible. You can't connect to a local network without being connected to its wifi or a VPN. Could you post a screenshot of the settings page of the home camera('s) by clicking the three dots, 'Details device' and then the square with the...

    Problems viewing through app

The external IP address or the LAN IP address (192.168.x.x)? If the latter, it won't work at all outside the network because you simply aren't on that network. The first option will only work if you port forward port 37777 (which I don't recommend). It could be that in your home you have UPnP...

    Problems viewing through app

Could you give us a little more information? How are you trying to view the Dahua camera's when out of office: P2P, VPN, something else? Did you scan a QR code in DMSS or did you enter an IP address?

Replace 2 cams with 1 dual cam; which option?

Regarding the mount for your second option: That model is actually the IPC-PDW5849-A180-E2-ASTE and will also fit the existing PFB203W mount (if you look under accessories). Can't really give you advise on what cam to choose as I haven't worked with either.

    Review - Dahua/EmpireTech Full-Color 5MP IR & White Light IP Smart PT "Active Deterrence" Camera - SD2A500-GN-A-PV

Where do you leave the pigtail with this cam? Is there space underneath the cap at the top or do you leave it hanging?

    Dahua cloud/p2p - IP range

Using P2P is not recommended, as you have probably read all around on the forum. It's way better to use a VPN to the network your cams are on. Risks aside, what you could do to get the IP for the P2P server: Download Wireshark from wireshark.org, this is a tool that lets you see all the...
