Are Larger Pictures Possible in Hikvision Events Emails?

I thought to ask them what possible reasoning they used when they worked to bring out a useful feature with one hand, then with the other rendered it almost useless by making the image so inscrutably small. Then I remembered the countless hours that I've spent in the last six months trying to...

Are Larger Pictures Possible in Hikvision Events Emails?

Got an answer from Hikvision: "At the moment, CIF resolution (352x240) is the image that can be sent via snapshot. There may be an option to increase the resolution in future builds, but there are no plans for this yet." At least I got an answer...

    Slow playback on mobile

If you can get higher upload rates go for it. My speeds are similar to yours and after a LOT of tweaking, the below settings work consistently for me for viewing my sub-stream with my 1 Mbs upload rates. If you could get 5Mbs up I'm pretty sure you could max out your sub-stream and view it...

    Slow playback on mobile

I think because you are viewing the sub-stream in the live feed so things look fine on your remote device, but since the NVR records the main stream by default your viewing of any recorded footage is constrained by the speed of your home upload stream. Like me you might be relegated to "get...

Are Larger Pictures Possible in Hikvision Events Emails?

Yeah, capture isn't what I need. I just need the email pics to be a little bigger. I emailed Hikvision but no response (no surprise).

Within the NVR email settings use any address that you own. The "Sender Name" can be anything, like "My NVR" or suchlike. Make sure to use port 587 and turn off SSL.

VCA search "no picture file found"

You're way ahead of me on this, so I wish someone who knew more would chime in. Your NVR is similar to mine, and has the same verbiage in the manual as mine has on the top of page 136: "With the configured VCA detection, the NVR supports the VCA search for the behavior analysis, face...

VCA search "no picture file found"

I thought most Hikvision NVRs only support VCA search for behavior analysis, face capture, people counting and heat map results, and only if the cameras provide it. But I'm new at this. Good luck.

VCA search "no picture file found"

I'm just setting this up myself. I might be wrong but apparently you can only set up VCA recording while connected to the NVR itself via monitor and mouse. Look about three-quarters down in this: http://www.hikvision.com/ueditor/net/upload/2015-06-10/6192e835-16a9-4225-9da6-b2bea78a2ff9.pdf...
