Frigate does its own AI inferencing. What would be the point of the two coming together? And I have to say, Frigate works really REALLY well. I'm not sure I want any CPAI code mixed into Frigate... -
Auxiliary IR Illuminator for LPR
The Z4 is great up to 75 feet or so. It drops off fast after that from my experience when I had it for LPR. Swapped it out for a Z12 and I get much more zoom now. -

Malfunctioning Street Lamp
If it’s being fed directly by the pole transformer then it’s a power company light. Does you power company not have a way to report a street light outage? My company has a map to identify street lights and each light has a metal tag indicating its ID number. -
PC Power Supply Requirements
A 750w psu is plenty for that. Bronze, silver, gold, platinum just speaks to the efficiency of the psu. You pay more upfront for higher grade supplies but get it back later via power savings (assuming it doesn’t shit the bed early).- biggen

ID this NVR software?
Whatever NVR system it is, it doesn’t matter. You can’t afford it. It probably costs several hundred million dollars over decades of service contracts. -
For those that have used both... Is onboard AI detection more accurate than CPAI?
Dahua IVS is magnitudes better than CPAI. It isn’t even comparable. Easier to deploy, setup, fine tune, and far more accurate unless you are training your own models with CPAI which is outside 99.999% of most people’s purview. I’ll never buy another camera again that doesn’t have built in AI. -
Switch fried...grabbed a new one but cameras stopped working
No VLANS? Just a flat network (one subnet)? Do you have a desktop that you can plug into that switch? If so, I’d try that and plug the desktop into each switch port (plug the router into one port too) to test and see if it’s working by browsing the internet.- biggen

With h.264 and custom you should be able to type in the bit rate you desire. Never tried it with h.265 -

I ran Ethernet out to my 24kw Generac so I could install a RPi out there and run genmon on it. Genmon is great for getting metrics out of the generator and scheduling exercise times. You can extract metrics from the Gen with genmon and used Grafana to build pretty graphs... -

If I'm running this on Docker on a Linux VM with no GPU, is YOLO 6.2 or .NET recommended? All I'm getting is "Dayplate" when the occasional license plate is read. More often than not I get the "Nothing Found" even though the images are perfectly clear. If I use the CodeAI Explorer, it reads... -

You won't be able to really fix that unless camera has some type of LDC ability (barrel correctness but that really only crops the picture so you lose FOV) or the cam can split the 180 degree shot into two different channels that fit a 16:9 screen and you could view each channel separately...- biggen
