DeepStack Case Study: Performance from CPU to GPU version

Nvidia hand picks the best silicon for Quadro. So the chips for gaming cards are from the same batch. Quadro are enterprise grade cards and come with different memory timings and clock speeds. Quadro cards allow for things like VM GPU passthrough while consumer gaming cards have driver...

Any one use Free (unlicensed) Windows 10 w/ Blue Iris?

I've bought probably ten $5 Windows keys off eBay... I've never had an issue. I just look for sellers in Europe with high feedback score. Some times you have to install windows disconnected from the internet then install the key at the end after windows is installed, then connect to internet.

    Downward pointed Dome vs rain?

For what ever its worth.. I just swapped out 8 Dahua IPC-HDBW4433R-ZS dome cams for IPC-T5442TM-AS turrets. I liked that the way dome cams looked better than turrets and I liked that you couldn't tell which way they were pointed but I had too many issues with them. They were mounted under the...

I've been wondering if DS works as well with BI directly as it is does with the latest version of AITool. I've been holding off on renewing my BI updates sub until all the bugs are worked out.

My network is behind pfSense and I have the doorbell on a VLAN and blocked from WAN and use an allow white_list for PushOver. I'm using the FW @Florissilfhout made and posted earlier in this thread. For what-ever reason my M5 was already set to capture an image on button press. As I was trying...

Has anyone wrote a script to send a PushOver notification with image for a button press? I was going to start working on it but hoping someone else already has. You could be right, I'll have to research it some more. Calling a script from within a script is not something I usually do, but from what I can tell through testing it doesn't seem to matter whether I source /mnt/disc1/set_time or not from inside dhcp.script, it uses the variables consistently...

If your not comfortable with Linux in command line this will be a steep learning curve. I broke down exactly what I did in the post above, so if it doesn't make sense to you and you can't follow your probably going to have a really hard time. We all have to start somewhere though. My first...

I might be wrong about this, but it appears to me you can install the patched FW without the app by powering on the device with the SD card inserted with the npcupg.bin file on it and holding down the reset button on the back of the device for about 30 seconds then letting it run for a few mins.

Thanks @sp00025, I didn't realize it was that easy. I copy all the files in SDcard to my SD card root like your github README.md instructs. Then I added executable permissions to the scripts and binaries. Then I added this script I named set_time.sh to /mnt/disc1 #!/bin/sh # Sync with local...

I don't know much of anything about busybox or how editing FW works, but with sleep, you could run ntpd to get utc time, then sleep 1 and run the script posted above giving you the desired time. then run another sleep 900 and loop it. it would sync time every 15mins. with trial and error you...

Getting started in the ipCam world

Don't waist your money on a Nvidia GT-1030, your better off with the Nvidia Quadro P400 because they're cheaper. The limiting factor will be memory, you'll never push the cores to 100% with this kind of workload. The GT-1030 and P400 both have 2gb of memory so they will equally work the same for...

If lowering the cam isn't an option, and you don't have another cam pointed in that same direction that you could use to trigger it using Trigger camera groups, just make a mask over the fan, if someone was to come into that area they would have to walk in an area that isn't masked, unless they...
