5.2.8 - May 20, 2020 - Direct-to-disc BVR recording will now include metadata for video overlays

Continuing on in this thread regarding the problem I had with 5.2.8.0 being unstable. It was crashing on start and I rolled back to 5.2.7.12. Hopefully this helps with anybody else running into this issue. I narrowed down the problem to be related to recording as MP4 files. I have 5 cameras...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I tried the uninstall and reinstall with recovery from registry backup. Same results as before, as soon as BI starts, it crashes with the same application fault. I rolled back to 5.2.7.12, which was a bit of an adventure, running the installer over top of 5.2.8.0 did not work. I had to...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

5.2.8.0 is not stable at all for me, the service crashes as soon as it starts with a fault logged in application events. I had to roll back to 5.2.7.11 (5.2.7.12 was randomly crashing). All 5 cameras are using substreams. Reported to Ken.

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

Long time lurker and Blue Iris user (started with V3), I just registered to add what I found with configuring subtreams. It took me a couple of days, but I also discovered that if you have AOI enabled, it conflicts with substream. I couldn't remove AOI by unchecking it either, I ended up...
