Nice, I like the price of that HDMI to DVB-T modulator.
But I wasn't as lucky. I'm in the USA and a HDMI to ATSC modulator is needed because typical USA TV sets do not support DVB-T (a broadcast format for nearly every country but us).

I'm using an HDMI TV modulator (ZVPro 820). It takes the HDMI output from the NVR and converts it to an unused HDTV channel. My installation's whole house antenna amplifier (Channel Master CVT-2/8PIA-II) has a modulator input on it so that's where I tap into the TV coax distribution.
With these...
We were all in your shoes at some point. Deciding what to buy is difficult because the low risk choices (good performers) are expensive. Especially because we all desire high megapixel cameras and good models are budget killers.
The message most of us try to get across to newcomers is that...
If you choose to have the NVR do the AI then I suggest reviewing the spec sheet to see the impact to the Network Bandwidth and Decoding Capability. Those things will be affected when NVR's AI is enabled.
The Dahua NVRs with sufficient AI to do several cameras are expensive. Every installation...
I would take two of the IPC-T5442T-ZE that are new. Plus one that is used. Total 3.
And I'll take one IPC-HDW5231R-Z.
I may be interested in the NVR5216-16P-4KS2. 100% functional? What year was it purchased? With HD or bare?
There's no mention on the condition of the used gear. How would you...
One downside: As mentioned in a previous post the Dahua POE NVR's have very noisy fans. Forum users have discussed this in other threads too. This would be a potential problem in an installation like mine. Fan replacement has been suggested as a remedy when the noise is an issue. But I have no...
This question has come up before and it seems most recommend getting an NVR with integrated POE. Mainly to ensure the cameras are isolated from the local network.
FWIW, I'm grappling with this decision myself. Moving to new house and leaving my old Dahua system behind. I'm currently using two...
In the following example the camera IP is 192.168.1.200, username is admin, and pw is mySecrete

A hardware-free solution would be to use the camera's HTTP API and send the command that sets image contrast to zero. This would black out the image. And it avoids the reconnect delay that would occur with turning off/on POE power.
So if your Home Automation has support for cURL commands or...
Ah, you're the fellow that got it. I tried to buy it the day the refurb list was posted; Already sold!
I need two of them. Hopefully I'll score a couple discounted/refurb T5442T-ZE cams on the next sale.

I'm using a DHI-NVR2116-I (has built in face detection, one channel) with a Dahua N43AN52 wedge cam which does not have built in face detection. Face detection works great for me.

Might be this simple: From the local desktop view, make sure the little arming bell (upper right corner) is a red color. That means the alarms are turned on. If gray color the event alarms will be disabled.

You must use Internet Explorer, no other browsers are supported. Normally the webactiveX plugin can be installed by following the browser prompts that are presented during NVR Web access. If that failed then see these instructions:

I don't have any experience with your NVR. But the audio out jack is high-Z (1k ohm drive). You need to use an amplified speaker. Any amplifier with "line input" should be Ok to use.
Also, if you are using a HDMI monitor you should be able to hear audio from it too.
Lastly, some NVRs mute...
Hi Andy, Thanks for the information. The 5MP IPC-E3541F-AS-M is very similar to my 4MP Dahua N43AN52 wedge camera. I was hoping your had something smaller; I'll continue to use the N43AN52.
BTW, sorry for the late reply. I never received a forum alert that you responded. Glad I checked your...
That's too bad. Would have been an easy solution if simply turning off ROI is all it took.
Amen. Yesterday I disabled the ROI function on my misbehaving N41BL12-W. But to play it safe, I decided to perform a factory default reset and manually reconfigured the camera.
After reviewing the...
I can't speak for the OP, but in my case the N41BL12-W's default image quality was set to 5 and ROI was 6. I normally don't see any difference between the 5 and 6 quality setting, but there was a substantial difference in image quality outside the ROI region.
I don't recall ever turning on ROI...
I have a Dahua N41BL12-W with a very similar problem. The blurry areas are causing a lot of false motion events during low light (IR mode).
You genius! I just checked and found that ROI is turned on and the blurry areas are outside the selected regions.
I've disabled ROI; If this fixes the...
Custom cgi API Command Tip:
In case it helps someone, there is a URI command that disables the Amcrest logo overlay (branding watermark). So there's no need to perform a factory reset when the logo is present after you've flashed the Dahua firmware onto the Amcrest camera.
Using an up-to-date...
@astroshare, thanks for confirming the bin file is OK to use.
I've flashed DH_IPC-HX25(8)XX-Molec_MultiLang_NP_V2.800.0000000.19.R.200628.bin onto one of my Amcrest cameras. I now have IVS Intrusion Events running on it. Works great, same as my Dahua cameras. FWIW, all cameras are connected to...
Thanks for the advice. But the audio codec settings have been configured. All cameras are currently set for AAC/16K, but I have also tried G.711U/8K.
I have audio during local single camera and 8-camera live view mode. Local Playback has audio. But no audio in 9-camera live view. No audio in...
@guykuo, You're welcome. Hopefully the custom bracket works out for you.
@All, it seems that Dahua has removed the DH_IPC-HX25(8)XX-Molec_MultiLang_PN_V2.800.0000000.15.R.200313.bin file used to upgrade the Amcrest IP5M-T1179EW camera. That is to say, the IPC-HDW2531T-AS-S2 firmware download...
The attached zip file has the three STL files for the Amcrest turret mounting bracket.
Choose a filament that will tolerate the outdoor installation. I used primed/painted ABS, but will likely try PETG on the next one.
So far I've installed six of the IP5M-T1179EW turrets. At $45 each...
Hi Andy,
I'm looking for a camera to replace a ceiling mounted Dahua HDW4433C-A turret that is mounted inside my home (interior room). This camera is working fine but is too large; wife is not happy. So I am looking for a different ceiling mounted camera that is less obtrusive.
I have a...
FWIW, mine are staying in color throughout the night. Just using typical exterior house "carriage" lights. Some areas have low wattage garden lamps in the background.
Daytime performance is fantastic compared to my previous 1080P AHD security system. Night time static images look great. But...
Item #2 (see above) had a simple remedy. When using the desktop GUI's 8-camera view the large window (top left cam) has audio. I prefer seeing nine cameras but I can live with the eight camera workaround.
