    I had my dad do the reset the camera but it's still behaving the same way. It even goes off-line. I wonder if this is a defective camera.

    My network is on 192.168.11.xxx but I changed my PC's ip temporarily to 192.168.1.200 and the gateway to 192.168.1.1 so I could access the new camera. However it doesn't want to play nice I guess. I will give the reset another go and see what it does.

    Just ordered the 2.8mm version of this to replace my 3 yr old IPC-HFW2831T-ZS which died suddenly. I am intrigued about the built-in microphone and speaker. Will those work with DC power or does it have to be POE to power the speaker? I figured I would use the old set up once again if possible.

    Yes, I like it very well but I need to find some kind of a wind muff for the built-in microphone as the wind noise is quite loud. Should be easy enough I would think. I like the 2 way communication feature.

    It seems to do quite well on autofocus but once in a great while I would like to be able to control it manually. I guess I will need to use guard station to do that.

    So I guess paying double the price is the price you pay for getting it quicker from a place in the United States. Would the speaker be okay enough to talk to someone that was outside near the camera?

    If it's like the camera I have on the other side of the house I had to put the audio in wire into the red side and the audio ground into the gray side to get the microphone to work. So on audio out wire it would go to the red side but there would be no ground wire available so I wouldn't need...
