New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

connected my doorbell directly to the 24v (40va) transformer and it lit up and worked as it should (I was able to access the doorbell from the Ezviz app on my phone) Good news. This proves that there is nothing wrong with the doorbell. Looked again at the install.pdf file. It relates to...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Only tested the DB with a transformer on the workbend for function. Later on moved it in to production with the chime using the power module and no fuse. I can also attach a potential free switch eg the HMIp-FC1 from homematic? It is whatever you want to switch on and off with the K1/2 ports...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I also wanted to capture the button press in openhab. My plan is/was to use also Homematic sensor - but a newer one: HmIP-DSD-PCB. Best to go passive with an external to doorbell circuit switch. 1 - use a current sensor 2 - use a reed switch in the mechanical chime that triggers from the...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Guessing here that the draw of the M&S system is too much for the EzViz Doorbell. Originally used the Ring Doorbell with no modifications and it worked well. Using the Hikvision DB I had to change transformer et al. I would separate the Video doorbell wiring from the M&S wiring such that...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Can you make a quickie drawing of your connectivity? I purchased a transformer that does 8, 16 and 24v, i hooked it up to the 24v 20va option, a 24v relay, and connected everything up, when i measure the voltage at the door bell, it reads 24-27, however the relay LED is constantly lit, and the...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Ahh.... Yes here have been using the original power kit that came with my Nelly DB. At the time I did up the original AC transformer. Ended up with a "gong" instead of a chime and then replaced my old chime with a higher voltage chime to get chime sound back. This has continued to work fine...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Will look for the schematic I posted. Its just an Elk-960 debounce board and current sensor which triggers a zone on the alarm panel. An event is triggered by the alarm panel zone which talks to Homeseer / Home Assistant. Homeseer does a doorbell announcement with Microsoft SAPI and HA does...

@Coldair / @Gut1234 Here running Blue Iris on a Windows 2016 64 bit server. Not as much overhead with the OS like Windows 10-11 desktop OS or use Windows 10-11 no fluff Enterprise. You can also bind two Gb Ethernet ports on the BI server with 2 managed Gb switch Ethernet ports. Describe...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Just noticed that the Android Hikvision iVMS 4500 app does not work any more with the Doorbell. It works fine with 3 other Hikvision cameras on the network. The Hikvision iVMS 4500 app was working fine with the doorbell.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

@gnuB Tinkering today based on: What is RTSP? RTSP performance Fetching the RTSP stream from a security camera or recorder involves transcoding the native stream. This transcoding not only has a CPU overhead on the device you are fetching the stream from, it introduces a delay or lag in the...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Could be that the firmware is caching a few sessions and not releasing them. I have never seen an issue like this until I used a WiFi Doorbell Video Camera.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I see the same exact message VPNing to my DB via Android IVMS4500. This is with a JPG connection to my touchscreens, RTSP to Zoneminder and to Blue Iris. I am not using the cloud app here on my Android phone. A DB reboot will solve the issue temporarily.

@jacha What is the model number of your NVR? BTW here using Opex combo PIR / Cameras modified with Hikvision POE Camera boards. The camera is very old and has weathered fine and very modular. Very stealthy and looks like an oversized PIR. I put 5MP 38mm board inside. Using two catxx cables...

Creating ONVIF feed for old IP camera

Could you suggest a software solution? Personally here have always used Zoneminder. It is Linux based and free. Currently running it on Ubuntu 20.04 That said I am also currently running Blue Iris on a Windows 2016 server and it does well for running in Windows. I would recommend running...

Creating ONVIF feed for old IP camera

ONVIF individual camera MFGs have changed much over the years. They each had their own standards so unless you edit the firmware then it will not be an easy fix. What is nice is that the older cameras did do RTSP, JPG and MJPG capturing. That said I would switch to using RTSP or MJPEG...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

What Doorbell camera model are you using? What is the hardware and firmware version that you have installed? The firmware has to have the ability to do ONVIF and I enabled that with the Batch Configuration program. Off the shelf some firmware is documented already to include ONVIF. IE: Here...

Any IP-based doorbell working only in LAN without requiring "cloud" services?

Yes an intermittent connection to your doorbell would be sufficient to send out a text or email to your cell phone via automation software like Homeseer or Home Assistant. Which hikvision model are you referring to? I purchased the Nelly DB over a year ago and then upgraded it to Hikvision...

Any IP-based doorbell working only in LAN without requiring "cloud" services?

Welcome to the forum @Mauro70 Here utilize a generic LTE (to T-Mobile) cellular combo modem / router / firewall / wireless AP as my back up to the internet in case the main internet doesn't function. I am suggesting an alternative transport to your ADSL internet transport. You can purchase an...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Is the DB dropping off the network or is it powering off or resetting itself? Do you have connectivity logs on your Wireless access point? Older SOHO routers do not do wireless very well. Overheating et al. Remove it for a bit from BI and keep doing a ping to the device.
