    Just a guess but your cams may not like having to support more than one stream. I have had that happen when I tried to run two main streams on a camera. As to time of day could be they are set to reboot in the morning. Not all cams have the ability to support two main streams.

    Well that looks like the ip address is OK. Is User and password correct? Looked at mine and only difference is "Skip initial HTTP DNS and reachability tests" is checked. Not sure what that is although I haven't read the help file on it yet.

    Correct there is no way to set a static ip on the Alert cams. But some routers allow you to set a reserved ip address so that they will always be assigned the same one by dhcp. Otherwise the Alerts may get a different ip address every time they power cycle and BI will still have the old...

    Check under your hood, those guys can do a lot of damage chewing wires and vacuum lines. I've tried everything to keep them out of my truck that I don't drive often enough and have only had success with these bags of sweet smelling herbs. Rats hate the smell.

    The difference between cat 5 vs 6 is not about the length of the run, but the throughput. While cat 5 is probably adequate for most of us, I think I'd step up to cat 6 since the price is negligible. But cat 5 is a bit easier to work with.

    Belden is still made in the USA and the most respected cable brand among professionals. But that Shireen stuff looks OK, Maybe better, just never used it. Can vouch for Belden.
