    Review-Dahua Starlight IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 800 meter capable ePOE

Computer NIC need to be set to 10.10.1.X, where "x" is an unused number from 1 to 255. The network cable needs to be plugged in to an unused NVR POE port, not the NVR network uplink port. The 1st cam plugged in to the NVR usually defaults to 10.1.1.60, if my memory serves me. You can ping...

    Dahua AutoTracking Demos

@SirAce135 Sure you are. You running a casino over there, next to that fire pit insert? A gate would be cheaper. The single Avigilon solution you list above will run you about 10-12K. Their previous 24MP Sony sensor alone is $3k, without any camera around it, again for just the sensor...

    Some camera advice....

I am getting ready to order a NVR5216-4KS2 from @EMPIRETECANDY and wanted to get some advice abotu cameras. Normally I buy off Amazon where I have great return policy so with the thought that I need to get the cameras correct up front and have to live with them I thought I would ask the...

    Budget outdoor Starlight PTZ?

    I'll add to that the SD49225T-HN, or the SD49212T-HN. Above are Starlight, 1080P, IVS, POE+, 100M of IR and IP66 rated. $280 - $320. Budget + Outdoor + Starlight + PTZ = Oxymoron SD

Amazon Firewall Boot that gives you a nice watertight solution. It fits perfectly in the hole in the PFA151 Corner Mount. You have to have enough space behind the mount though. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004K2285E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 SD

How do you all watch Dahua cams on your tv's

Cool. I've upgraded to a few MXQ Pro 4K Android boxes. I don't even use Tiny Cam Pro anymore. I just downloaded the Dahua DMSS app and use that. SD

Ms. Pink, No problem. We understand. These are enterprise solutions without instructions. Enterprise hardware solutions assume you have some knowledge of the field you are galloping through. We all had to start somewhere. Most of us possess some IT/networking background. What you are...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

You don't need a POE injector, just a 12V/1 Amp power supply to test or reset the camera. When powered with 12V from the pigtail, any network cable/port will communicate. This Amazon one works, or I'm sure you can find a 2.1mm/5.5mm 12V power supply around the house. Many DC items in the...

A bunch of ways.... Use the Config Tool to search the IP range of 10.1.1.1 to 10.1.1.254 Change your NIC or WiFi range (temporarily) to 10.1.1.2 (or something not being used currently), then log in to camera (you need to know what its IP was changed to). Where do i find my ip address for each camera.

We need way more information. How are you administering the cams? Are you using a POE NVR? Use the Config tool from Dahua. https://dahuawiki.com/ConfigTool As @awsum140 stated, the default IP address is 192.168.1.108, with admin/admin as default login. You need to administer each camera...

    New Camera Setup

You have enough space to record 24/7 easily. I'd say all 10 cams and 12 TB would be 35-40 days of history. Scalable to more or less if you like, by increasing or decreasing the FPS, and bit rates. For customer installs, I shoot for 10-14 days of history. That's about all you need if anything...

    New Camera Setup

That should be plenty. Yes, the NVR will handle the setup of the two disks, and treat them as JBOD. There are some more advanced features as well when running two or more disks. You can assign individual cams to each disk if you like. For reference, I have (2x) 4TB drives, storing 6 cams...

    Dahua Starlight 40x PTZ - SD6AE240V-HNI

Thought I would share the commercial quality build of this camera. 285 days in service. Tracks every vehicle that comes down the street in that time. No auto day/night. I've forced day/color mode because I have plenty of ambient light and the F1.2 lens is so fast. 86,000+ pans and still...

    IPC-HDW5231R-Z Settings help

I do all my configuring directly from the camera web GUI. There are settings only available from there that aren't accessible through the NVR. The NVR will overwrite the settings if they can be changed, but only if you change them. @looney2ns gave you a great starting point for FPS and...

I've never needed any of them. I'm not even sure what's on them? The camera template is handy though for mounting. You'll need the waterproof jacket from the camera box. Make sure you put it on BEFORE you terminate the cable....... ;). How much storage did you go with for 10 cameras? SD

    New Camera Setup

I'd start researching and reading here: NVR - Dahua Wiki Lots more info within that site as well. Most of your questions can be answered there. Basic setup can be done through the NVR, but not all the camera features are available. You will need to use a web interface for the rest. I would...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Try a different power supply. I have 6 Microseven mics in service. I had a hum with a certain power supply. It was overkill at 12v/3A, and they hummed. Switched to an inexpensive 12V/.5A and it went away. Also used a 12V/1A and there was no hum. Some of the cheaper power supplies hum. SD

That quote from Andy was a long time ago. There was a batch of 303S's that weren't square, so he was providing the 303W with the camera while the 303S was being remedied. 303W was only $19 last summer, but I see they have increased the prices at B&H lately. Andy has them cheaper, but his...

Got New Camera From Andy And I Can't Log In To It

I've personally never got Chrome to work, in all the setups I've installed. I've always had the best luck with IE11, from Win 10. Have used Safari with a plugin for a neighbor, but that was dysfunctional. Have you had success with other Dahua's with Chrome and the IE tab? I have not had any...
