Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Dahua doesn't sell to end-users, only to authorized distributors who mostly sell to installers (people who actually know what they are doing) So there goes your right.. Maybe you should have done more reading up on info here on the forum. It's all available here.

    Review-Dahua Starlight IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 800 meter capable ePOE

This is why you always want to record 24/7 and only use the tripwires as a way to search your timeline. NVR's are all on his Ali page, keep in mind that there is a possibility you have to pay tax to the netherlands..

Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-ZE with iVMS-4500 iPhone App

That won't work because that's the Hikvision app, try gdmss or idmss. Those are the Dahua Android and iOS apps. What you can do if you have a Hikvision NVR, is add the Dahua cam via onvif and watch it trough ivms anyway. Or, if you don't have a NVR. You can use an app like Tinycam, with this...

You keep saying that you suspect the sd card, but you're only focusing on the firmware versions. Why not take out the sd card and see what that does? If that solves the problem maybe try another sd card..

    Review-Dahua IPC-NB5531P 5mp Fisheye Camera

Nice writeup Looney, and +1 on the night shots. Also, all the different views you demonstrate in the video, would be nice if they were seperate channels so you could watch them seperate as well. Any info on that?

    Noob IPCAM Installer Needs Help!

There's no need to change router settings.. just make sure the cam and pc are on the same switch/router, and the same ip range and subnet. If the cams boots you should be able to find it with the config tool/smart pss. If it still has the default ip (192.168.1.108) then just use a browser.

HELP! cant access from config tool

Like @TonyR kinda said in that other topic. Maybe your pc is in another subnet as your camera's. Check if the ip adress of your pc has the same first 3 numbers as your camera's. For example 192.168.1.*. If it's not the same, change it to the same range as your camera's. After that you want to...

Is my older Dahua security camera system salvageable?

1st make sure your nvr and camera's are not accessible from the internet, close all ports in your router. 2nd get the system up and running again. After you've done this your recordings are running, you just can't watch live and/or playback from outside your home. 3rd get the VPN running, this...
